  1. Absolutely a win is a win and they can enjoy the pickle dish as much as they will the hard fought ones. The point of the comparison with Laurelle is that both boats won their first ORCV offshore race with delivery sails. You would have to assume that the handicapper didn't know the boats would race with delivery sails and didn't determine the handicaps on that basis. That both boats won under such circumstances is, therefore, a valid comparison and indicates a gift handicap; historically a problem with new boats coming into the ORCV PHD fleet. Or are you telling me the performance h
  2. Credit where its due gladly Giddy but you were on a one way track in ideal conditions for your boat. You were on probably the only boat in the fleet actually designed with IRC in mind. A win on Performance h'cap in your first race where your tcf is no more than a guess on the part of the ORCV handicapper - wow! Remember, Laurelle did the same thing in her first offshore race with ORCV and surprise surprise, she was using delivery sails too! What does that tell you about performance handicapping? Not to denigrate your performance too much, well done in the new boat and I am sure you will conti
  3. Against what, FFS? Coombsy's De Cay is near ready to splash again after being cleaned up and stripped of all the Osaka 2 handed shit. Will she stay or will she go? And if she stays, will she go - like she used to? Anus and Willo's ex NZ Farr 53 Georgia arrived back from Hammo over the weekend too... nice piece of kit there for the Bus Boys. The influx of mega-weapons continues at Royal Sandringham...
  4. Scallop Pies! Hypothermia. Only a couple of surnames to remember in the whole town?
  5. Welcome to Tasmania, please set your watch back 20 years
  6. No shit, there's more than that?
  7. Don Jones did tell me earlier in the year that some major works were scheduled " to keep the boat competitive". As you say Mex, not much seems to be happening, at least not much that can be externally observed. Is it premature for us Anarchy doomsayers to start talking about silk purses and sows ears?
  8. There was movement at the station for the word had passed around... Another new Syd 36CR (#3 at the club) in the SYC yard this weekend and an Archie 35 also on its way to replace a yellow wheeled Syd 38 heading north.
  9. Is the big blue n white pig still in the MYC yard? Rare for Wharro to miss the northern race circuit, Hamo etc. Wassup?
  10. Big step up for Matt from the old Cookson 40 No Beer Team M? Wonder who else is in the "team"?
  11. XLR8 is past its UBD now, even with Savvo driving. Wanna buy it. See Dorro... Georgia guys feeling their way? Nah, Willo, Anus and the ex Bacardi mob would be happy on any boat with a big fridge HSMB definitely not OK and the story is Harts may do the repairs in Mornington. Shogun, the new Rogers 46 one, had rig damage early on and pulled the pin. Living Hell also just a tad off the boil after the mods- perhaps needs a bit more time to get it back on pace. Maybe the Q boat was just sailed a bit better this time?

Nice apology but still might be a good idea to delete it mate. Replace it with something really disgusting, cheap, nasty and sexist if you like but leave the kiddie porn out of it.

Yup, seriously unfunny. There are plenty of topics to choose from as evidenced throughout this thread but that's just not appropriate.

A woman takes a lover home during the day while her husband is at work. Her 9 year old son comes home unexpectedly, sees them, and hides in the bedroom cupboard to watch. Just after getting into bed the woman's husband also comes home unexpectedly, she tells her lover to hide in the cupboard, not realising that the little boy is in there. After a little while the little boy says, "Dark in here. The man, who obviously got a real fright not expecting to hear anything, let alone from a little boy says, "Yes, it is." Boy - "I have a football." Man - "That's nice." Boy - "Want to buy i
  17. Not at SYC as of yesterday. It must be reaching back
  18. Agree with that statement Don. Had a couple of nasty bumps in the last few months and heard about plenty more. How deep does it need to be with the influx of more and more big boats to SYC?
  19. Dolly definitely going north. On the truck today, rig arrived yesterday- cutting it fine?
  20. Green thingies? Probably VB cans Rossco Nah, they were back in the yard having their lights worked on today. Due back in place this afternoon apparently.
  21. Nope. Not me. Wasn't ever here..... and I most certainly did not rate you....geeze, what kinda girl do you think I am?

  22. ART, your wish is SYC's command. Now being installed (like, this afternoon ! )
  23. Lost too many bowmen /women?? Similar prodders went on to the Pommy 52s a few years ago. Probably assists IRC.
  24. Well that wouldn't be hard, now would it? Crying shame to see how poorly sailed that boat is now.
