  1. This is very good news as this is the first US based retailer to sell the products. Before, you had to deal from Europe and I have been waiting for a local dealer to sell it.. And this price is a good one. I will be buying one in April as I am out of town for March.
  2. Also, the scientific study linked below found little effects on wind readings in heavy rain. I have asked Calypso if they have data relevant to this and will pass it along if I receive it. https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11802-016-2804-4
  3. The Center for Atmospheric Science in UK (link below) says “heavy rain affects data quality from some models as water droplets on the transducers significantly effect pulse times.” One product I saw claims to have mitigated this significantly by a coating on the transducers, presumably that prevents water droplets from adhering. http://www.cas.manchester.ac.uk/restools/instruments/meteorology/sonic/
  4. What are the issues with rain? Does a light rain cause issues or is it more a heavy rain?
  5. But does the basic app Anemotrack work as advertised?
  6. Does anyone have experience with this product? It looks like a cost-effective way to get true wind speed and direction on your boat. Thanks. Hal https://calypsoinstruments.com/
