  2. 32nd Annual MS Regatta, once again we couldn't do it without all of you. Weather was perfect, wind held (although there was some lengthy discussion on the matter), the parade stayed together in a line the entire Parade Route (thank you everyone - the spectators on shore appreciate it!), the Race Committee did their normal perfect job, starts were clean with a minimum of boat to boat "discussion", media coverage was positive and stayed out of the way of the racers (helps alot when the power boat drivers are also experienced racers), food and beverage was plentiful and good, and the band wa
  3. There are two peeps sailing side by side. The first peep calls to the second one “Do you know how to keep a fool in suspense?” The second peep calls back “No, how do you do that?” The first one says “I’ll tell you tomorrow.” then tacks away…
  4. Problem with getting them in Sunday's paper is they need them by 4:30 Saturday. Even without a 1 hour postponement that is pretty tight. After that they put them in at their own discretion. Results have been sent to PPH by someone who is as close as we can get to having some pull. I am hoping to see them tomorrow. Maybe. Navy
  5. Here they are. And from Saturday night's post: Early this morning the 31st annual MS Regatta looked like it might lose it's unofficial title of "we have never raced in sustained rain". But by 0900 the rain had stopped, the temerature was perfect, the left over rain water had not turned into humidity and there were almost signs of a clearing sky. This might work out after all! By 1100 well over 60 sailboats, almost 60 were going to actually race, headed out to parade under clear blue skies and a slight breeze. We did have a one hour delay waiting for breeze but the RC called it perfectly a

  8. Goddess of cheap rum checking in! Recently purchased a handle of Mount Gay with a rebate hang tag. The tag is a $10 rebate for 1.75 liter bottle up to 3 bottles (lesser dollars for lesser bottles). In other words 3 bottles = $30 dollars rebate maximum. I don’t know if this actually works as advertised but that’s the hype. I will be sending in my rebate to see what happens. Offer good until August 31 only in certain states one of which is ME, also NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA, DC, MD, SC, DE, various restrictions apply, blah, blah, blah, read the tag, etc. small print: you must u

  10. The MS office is having a little trouble getting caught up and GMORA is still waiting for other weekend data before posting. MS_REGATTA_2009_FINAL_RESULTS.pdf Once again Congrats to all... Navy
  11. Outstanding day, and better wind than we were expecting. I've got an e-mail out seeking results. Hopefully they'll get posted on www.msmaine.org before too long. Navy Jr. is trying to resolve one scoring issue before posting final results... RC may have made one mistake while being distracted by a drunken, lovesick swimmer with a suicide wish... and no, I don't have pictures. This is final. Congratulations to the winners. Many many thanks to all the participants. In particular to those who did secure a sponsor and to those that at least tried to secure a sponsor. We know b
  12. Sorry about the quality between the rain and knocking the dpi down it's a little grainy but you get the idea. And yes that is the mast in the foreground all wrapped up.
  13. Yo ho ho all you Rummys! Goddess of Cheap Rum bringing you the New Hampshire liquor store update. Earth Day week long special includes: Handle of Mt Gay for 21.99 ($6 off their regular price) through Sunday 4/26. Additional perk - spend $75 or more and get a $10 gift card for your next visit. Also ends 4/26. Contact your navigator to help with the math if you need to. Let the good times roll!
  14. Just so you know, RP may help with scoring from time to time but that is not one of the core services offered. Scoring is the responsibility of the event organizer and their designated Race Committee. Posting is the responsibilty of GMORA. The event organizer may also post results if they have the means to.
