The "Delta Variant" and unvaccinated people
dalenz replied to Burning Man's topic in Political Anarchy
The Only Person Not Killed Or Hospitalized In This COVID Outbreak Was Vaccinated A deadly outbreak in Manatee County, Florida, offers a cautionary tale. Two people are dead after a recent COVID-19 outbreak in the IT department of a county government building in Manatee County, Florida ― leaving only one person, who was vaccinated, unscathed. Of the six known exposures that occurred around the same time, at least four people have reportedly been hospitalized and two have died. One of those people died last week in the hospital, wh -

dalenz replied to dalenz's topic in America's Cup Anarchy
Was down at the club Sunday morning watching them getting ready and launching. Place was packed with young and old, kids, parents etc. Every one was mingling and chatting, helping each other and offering "advice" It will be long remembered by the up and coming sailors. Came home and sat on deck watching the racing on the bay in front of us. -

so.. sitting on our deck enjoying morning coffee overlooking Te Haumi, a shallow tidal beach, in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand. Close to Paihia and views over to Russell. Lots of on water action, sailing, ferries, charter boats etc. At 8.46am the tsumani siren starts wailing, mobile phones ring loudly with Civil Defence Alert. There had been a 8.1 earthquake near the Kermadc Islands early that morning with the possibility of a Tsumani. Now they are declaring an evacuation of all low lying areas. As we are about 80m/260` up we are OK, but our street is soon filled with cars fr

Here in NZ we live north of Auckland and temp is similar to Florida. Lots of commercial citrus but also large numbers of homes have trees laden with fruit. You can call a group that sends volunteers to pick the fruit and then hand on to shipping companies will carry it free for distribution to folks in the South Island where its to cold for them to grow Just for size comparison as NZ should be reversed.

THE IRISH CHRISTENING Paddy's pregnant sister was in a terrible car accident and went into a deep coma. After being in a coma for nearly six months, she woke up and saw that she was no longer pregnant. Frantically she asked the doctor about her baby. The doctor replied, “You had twins, a boy and a girl. The babies are fine. However they were poorly at birth and had to be christened immediately, so your brother Paddy came in and named them.” The woman thought to herself, ‘Oh suffering Jesus no; not me brother. He's a clueless idiot! ‘ Expecting the worst, she asked the doctor, “Well
