  1. About as many Republicans jumped off the train after 1/6 as jumped off the train after Nov 3. The vast majority of Republicans stayed on the train. Conservatives just molted on 1/6. Or maybe it was a reformation. But few, very very few, changed their mind because of 1/6 and most of those have changed back. I think Republicans molted on 1/6. I think we can see them as fascists now but I think they've been fascists for quite some time. As fascists, they have no principles beyond power.
  2. He didn't. Disgusting liberals such as myself stole the election. The true conservative candidate actually won in a landslide.

  4. Damn, I'd love to see Fakebertarian Rohrabacher in jail. Hi Tom!
  5. Would you used condoms put Sea Cucumber on ignore, please? Thank you.
  6. A young Maria Baritromo, sure. Actually that was back when she was on CNBC. On Fox, she’s been well past her due date for some time now. She’s looking more like Paul Kangas these days.
  7. Klobuchar agrees. https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/18/politics/biden-vice-president-amy-klobuchar/index.html
  8. The mechanics of this are that Shitstain is no longer President and has zero authority to do dick. Executive Privilege would be asserted by his successor, President Biden, with respect to the office. Eisenhower used EP to successfully fend off McCarthy. But US v Nixon showed its limits. Hard to say what Shitstain's stacked SC would do. So far they've shown him as much personal loyalty as he showed Jeff Sessions. Biden is not required to assert EP for Shitstain. Ford pardoned Nixon personally, but he didn't assert EP for Nixon politically.
  9. Good thing he wasn’t confirmed as a Supreme Court Justice. That would have been bad. Republicans really saved our national bacon on that one.
  10. Not exactly. Executive privilege is defended by successors or can be. It will be up to Biden to decide. For example, W defended Janet Reno. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Executive_privilege
  11. Only if he really, really wanted Shitstain to win.
  12. I’m a Californian and a former San Franciscan. I’ve been watching Harris since she was SF DA and CA AG. I wasn’t wild about Harris as VP. I didn’t think she had enough experience, and I preferred Susan Rice. But in fact, I’m pleasantly quite surprised with Harris as VP. I prefer her as VP than as Senator. Still, there’s a lot to learn but she works hard and is learning fast.
  13. No, the Roman Republic was pretty republican, an aristocratic republic but a republic. The plutocracy only shows up with Caesar and the Triumvirates. Before that, the Senate ran the show. And to prove that it was a republic, there were factions competing for power. They weren't just divvying up the goods they stole from the provinces. A plutocracy would mean that someone like Crassus would be ultimately powerful. He wasn't. He was extremely wealthy. He defeated Sparticus. He was elected co-consul (consuls were elected in pairs each with veto power in order to avoid having a king). But he
  14. It changed less because it was an official language. But that's all I'll say. The vowel shift is pronunciation of which I know fuck all about. Yes the Romans stole. Their religion was a local copy of the Greeks until they copied a Jewish sect. The Aeneid is 'stolen'. Aeneas is a minor character in the Iliad. The Aeneid has two halves, the awesome Odyssean first half and the dreadful Iliadic second half. Virgil didn't finish it and they kind of slapped it together when he died. Virgil tried to burn but Augustus said nix nix. They also lied; well, maybe except for Tacitus. His Agricola has
  15. Dog was an independent. Tom is very independent. The Minister is most independent.
  16. Probably pretty well except for the pronunciation. Latin's different from Greek. A lot of Ancient Greek is older than dirt. For instance, the Iliad+Odyssey were an oral tradition, told by storytellers well before Greek even adapted its written component from the Phoenicians. We don't have original Homer because there is no original Homer. There isn't even a Homer (unless you're a 'unitarian' and believe the poems were 'written 'by a single person. Unitarians are idiots.) Our oldest 'Homer' is 10 century CE, 1800 years or so after it was 'written'. But Latin has three things going for
  17. "What were you arrested for, kid?" And I said, "Pooping on my neighbors yard." And they all moved away from me on the bench.
  18. We Inside The Capital LMFAO You inside the jail now. LMFAO.
  19. But I didn't make a mistake up there; so stutter all you want. Your Congressional Republicans wouldn't + didn't pay for it. You did cover the Power of the Purse for your naturalization exam, didn't you? It's in the big C, Article I, Section 9, Clause 7 if you need to look it up.
  20. Because like Benghazi security, Republicans wouldn't pay for it. https://www.propublica.org/article/us-emergency-medical-stockpile-funding-unprepared-coronavirus Is there something else I can help you with?
  21. A special prosecutor is needed when there is a conflict of interest. For example, Clinton’s DOJ couldn’t investigate Clinton. But there is no conflict of interest here as Shitstain and Barr are not in office. Normal prosecutors will do.
  22. I'm seeing a lot less than that from Cal Fire, just two of significance. https://www.fire.ca.gov/incidents/ Typically when the fire season starts, the air in the Bay Area goes hazy and it hasn't so far. Sadly, it will.
  23. By way of comparison, the Kenyan left a full pandemic analysis and crisis playbook: https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/sites/default/files/microsites/ostp/NSTC/towards_epidemic_prediction-federal_efforts_and_opportunities.pdf https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/6819268/Pandemic-Playbook.pdf which the Minister's boy Shitstain then promptly ignored for injecting disinfectant and shining a UV light up his ass.
