I noticed that they have those lines painted on the water that help you know where the finish line is, where the boundaries are.... Can't HR just follow the lines and arrows outside the bay? Are you telling me they put signage on only in the Bay and not outside..... I am always and, sadly, frequently, amazed at how many people ask me if all those lines are actually on the water, and how they get them to stay put... And not all stupid people either...

So, about those doors I hear tell of... I look at these pics, and I don't see them. I see the stairs going to the top, um, deck I guess? Or maybe its the roof? Are the doors the things that look like solar panels, just below the upper row of gun ports? I still don't see how anyone gets out of this thing in a hurry. Not that it matters much in 3 feet of water I guess, except I still think it could go up in flames. Just sayin...

Actually, I just took a better look at the pic all zoomed up. That might be the best pic yet. Take a look at the port rudder. There is a, well, rudder post I guess, sticking up from the rudder. Previously I thought it was a tiller that just hinged up. But a close look at the way it is connected to the rudder shows it seems to be a rudder post and there is no tiller attached. The connection to the rudder is not going to take much stress. I would think at the first start of weather or lee helm, it would twist right off. Well, yes and no. I have not made a big list of each and every dire prediction, but what this guy has done is to have built a giant raft. So far, he has been blessed by good weather. I can't say what the fall will bring where he is, but coming into the fall here in the northeast, there are going to be some good storms. If he was here he might have another month to get that thing going or pull it out. If a good storm comes, its going to drag its anchor. Well in this case, "snuck" is a relative term. I just meant he left earlier than expected, given that he was extended 3 weeks (or so we thought) and as a result we all were not able to get some good video. I think the eviction theory has merit, but the more tantalizing questions are, where is he going (that is, who would allow him) and will he make it? I wonder if he considered painting the thing blue-gray? Then he could sneak better...
