  1. Is class A split at 45? Is that confirmed?
  2. Nothing like a good ole fall "coast cleaner" to keep the marinas busy over the winter...Its mother natures way of saying "thanks"
  3. So here's a little item that I will throw out for debate now that the season is over. Is GMORA basically irrelevant at this point? PYC has the PYC/Stirrings Race Series which includes (the Pilot Regatta, the PHRF State of Maine Championships & One Design Regatta, the Monhegan Island Race, and the 3 regatta Fall Series which accounts for what 80% of the big boat racing in Maine? Racers Downeast don't want anything to do with GMORA and I am sure Boothbay and Southport would survive without them and PHRF ratings come from PHRF New England. What exactly does it bring to the table?
  4. Hey Jim Morrison's (The Doors) dad was an Admiral......

  8. PHRF-NE requires you to be a member of one of the NE fleets, it is not just a GMORA thing: From the PHRF-NE website Complete the form and mail it to your fleet contact. See the Fleet Contacts page for the address for your fleet. Contact your fleet contact for the appropriate fee ($20 for PHRF-NE plus whatever the fleet fee is). If you are from outside the normal PHRF-NE area of Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, wish to sail in several races or regattas, and do not belong to one of the regular PHRF-NE fleets, mail the form, along with a 25 dollar check made out to PHRF-NE and m

  11. Well its good to know that boat is/was on its way back. The entire crew must of dropped their cell phones in the bay as all I got was their voice mails tonight. Hopefully#1 son caught his flight back to SoCal. Unfortunately I didn't make the trip but our son and a bunch of his 22-24 year old buddys sailed the boat. As far as results they were in a tough class and only 1 of the 7 crew had never really sailed on the boat prior to the race and that 1 showed up for only Sat/Sun when results improved.
  12. Nice Hankerin broach sequence starting at pic 195...
  13. The Flying Tiger might actually do New Englands this year. Char of CharSar will be home that week and is lobbying dad to let him take the boat down there. Probably will need 2-3 crew and someone with logistical knowledge (berthing/mooring, eating, sleeping, etc.) to point in the right direction...
  14. Probably not doing NEs this year because of timing and don't really have the boat tuned in yet (I haven't even sailed it yet because of my back). The Flying Tiger is in the PYC anchorage so go out and look at it. About half way out the fairway on the right....
  15. Scratch Charsar, the back surgeon says NFW.........plus lobster pot trolling with bulb keel off Monhegan at midnight isn't too appealing....
