  1. Cheering on him and Will be doing the same. Known Hugo for a while now. Sooo good watching him progress to where he is now!
  2. That’s some close racing! The class is going from strength to strength- highlighting the philosophy of KISS of the class ethos in general!
  3. MY 2cents...couldnt help after replying to the "Want to upgrade from Catalina 275 to Pogo 30/36, but can't convince the wife." thread haha... "My misso would vouch for our Pogo40...Its an 09 model, think early C40 with the shallower 2.2m draft, still has runners, and super basic interior. Have enjoyed the Breton start of winter ~2 degrees C, to the hot Greek summer high 30's C...all with a daughter from 2-5yo over the seasons. Strong, simple, fast, easy to handle ( can be a bit of a bitch in tight marinas and cross winds...) but Id take it any day over any of the usual mass productions

Strong, simple, fast, easy to handle ( can be a bit of a bitch in tight marinas and cross winds...) but Id take it any day over any of the usual mass productions boats Ive skippered working in the Med- think anything new from Benny Oceanis 46's to Lagoon 52's and everything in between. We're pretty laid back
  5. Have a quick follow. Cannot help as a fellow Pogoian
  6. Ahhh Thanks for that. I didn’t get to follow the last days too close unfortunately...was rooting for LO and TR after making a solid effort to get the boat built and to the start and after last race...
  7. I didn’t realise Thomas has a busted sprit?? When did that happen during the race?
  8. Super neat set up mate. Good work! i haven’t made enough water since I changed the installation 180 degrees...but hopefully fixes all the issues!!
  9. I know it’s advised Against- but I T’d off my sail drive for our Pogo 40...Katadyn 40...that and rotating the unit 180 degrees with the install stopped all the bloody issues...
  10. Haha it was a bit surreal seeing all those big brands that sponsor the variety of Offshore campaigns first hand in a service station on the FR motor! Was heading just south of La Trinite to view a cruising Pogo40 which we ended up buying! Pointing out to my old man (skiff sailor, very green on the FR offshore scene!) They sponsor an IMOCA, they sponsor an Ultims, they sponsor anothet IMOCA... Played my part leaving with a Sodebo salad and some other patisserie/biscuit - St Micheal??!!
  11. Thanks mate. Could be worse though Shaggy...
  12. Was contemplating the same- had an issue from earlier that wasnt race ending, but needed to be fixed up before heading south, where he's supposedly better optimised and potentially quicker.... put out the media release, giving some breathing space / mystery, allowing bit of extra time to get everything sorted for a quick as possible repair at the best possible time weather wise, before continuing racing on? Before I grab my tin foil...how good is this race- been worth the wait...epic battles everywhere- front. mid and back fleet, some epic footage and comms coming off the boat Boris
  13. stooooop it...Bingo is sitting all lonely on the hard in Athens. Still...i hope. Fingers crossed- boat manager has been MIA for weeks. Lucky ive had a mate who lives there check her not long ago...Waiting for the morning I wake up and the world is back sane again...and we can all enjoy the freedoms in our life again!
  14. My take- bridal is the sheet, cars and traveller is vang style set up. Happy to be corrected?
