Good Luck Getting Parler, Bullshitters.
SloopJonB replied to Sol Rosenberg's topic in Political Anarchy
If they had used "urine" instead of "piss" in that it probably would have succeeded in getting thousands of the dimwits to do it. -
If one lived on an island this thing could make a great African Queen. Pull out all those thwarts. build seats along the hull and put in a lunker diesel or an Easthope or something similar. Pocketa pocketa pocketa. https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds/boa/d/okotoks-sailing-whaleboat-project-15hp/7285222366.html

Painting a deck... In Seattle... In March... Too Cold?
SloopJonB replied to Floating Duck's topic in Fix It Anarchy
Wait for April - the weather is usually nice enough to paint. Impatience has fucked up more paint jobs than any other cause. -
Full size Jabsco with a spare pump kept on board. The pumps only cost a few bucks more than a rebuild kit so why assault your senses rebuilding one? Forget the compact ones - they are horrible for full size people. If your head compartment is too small for a proper size head then enlarge it. If I was living aboard I think I'd go for an electric. A gravity drain holding tank is extremely nice as well as simple.

It's interesting that 6 weeks into Biden's presidency the daily death toll is 1/2 of what it was in the last days of the shitstain. Of course, that would have also happened if he had won a second term wouldn't it?

They were both great shows. Both felt very real although some of Hill St. got a bit cartoonish - Mick Belker and Howard Hunter in particular -
Demonstrates why I like having a reliable diesel.

Chance did that widely spaced mizzen rig in the early 70's - Equation? Ondine? It was described as "Two sloops sailing in close company". I think he was the first to try it.

Once upon a time someone would have called that a Ukrainian (or Polish) suicide bomber. But nowadays that would be racist and insensitive.

I don't care how much peanut butter you add in, you can't make shit spread taste any better.

I'd put the blue over the grey on the cabin and cove.

I can think of a lot of other things to do with her.

Starts at Shelter Island and gets worse the farther east you go. Mission seems to be the final resting place even though the river is navigable a bit farther.

Same thing happens when you go off a bike. I vividly remember dropping a dirt bike on pavement once nearly 50 years ago - had time to think about things in detail as it was happening - felt like two minutes but was probably two seconds from "Oh shit" to being at the end of the slide and getting to my feet.

I meant since Alden - per Zonks comment. Boats keep getting "bigger", faster, roomier, easier to handle etc. - but do they get more beautiful?

Nevada governor proposes giving tech firms power to govern
SloopJonB replied to badlatitude's topic in Political Anarchy
Yeah. Didn’t work too well the last time either. So they're going to up the ante to company states. Nevada always has been kinda weird and corrupt. -
It's not Alice in Wonderland. More like Grimms Fairy Tales. Or just a plain old sewer.

There's a Rent a Husband here. Not sure if they are restricted to handyman stuff or not.

But has anyone designed anything more beautiful than an Alden schooner?
