I've switched from Smooth Jazz on Xfinity Music Channel, to Music of the 70's and 80's.  My customers are pleased, as most of them call Smooth Jazz "Elevator Music"....LOL

Are you a fan?

Have you read the book "Why Dylan Matters"?  It was informative.

Like Cohen, poetry is more important to him than rock.

Bowie is also an interesting cat.  Ziggy was big for me in HS.

The best thing Dylan ever did was create "THE BAND".

Yes his "Nashville sessions" were great too, but in my humble opinion...... He thinks way too highly of himself.

He's a good poet.... No great poet, and certainly not a person who will suffer through the sands of time like Ovid, or even Frost.... But yes, he has his moments.... But his self suffering constantly put upon attitude really drags him down in my opinion.

The kind of early success he had went to his head.  I enjoy all of his various transitions.  I thought in this interview he showed some respect for the talent of others.  He hasn't always done that.

Not just listening I am watching documentary on 1958 Newport Jazz fest besides some killer sailing scenes. I was just listening to Anita O’Day...one of the best jazz vocalists
