C. Spackler 49 #1 Posted August 11, 2019 I once had a 3G extender, which was nearly worthless for data. Under sail, while heeling, it was totally useless. Because of this I'm gun-shy to invest in a new 5G extender that might not work and will soon be outdated by 6G or 10G or whatever. Any suggestions? My ATT phone is, of course, worthless outside of urban areas. Perhaps there exists a Verizon phone that has extra awesome range? I'm ATT right now, but considering buying a Verizon burner phone or Ipad just for the boat. I'm surprised I couldn't find this topic in the archives.

LionessRacing 562 #3 Posted August 12, 2019 Put your Cellular antenna on a gymbal mount, preferably above your radar so the radar mass will damp oscillations. Works well for WiFi too.
