Yep - it must be him - hair didn't move.

Speaking of which - how many grandpas have hair that good ?

Almost as impressive as 72yr year old Jeff Kennett’s hairline, almost.

The importance of punctuation.

You are all missing the point you shallow trophy hunting cocks...... It's about participation and going out into nature with the wind in your hair and your bro's by your side..... lol Pease love

The two handed exclusion from the Tattersalls Cup is going to a protest tomorrow. I hope they win the protest.

My uncle who is 80 has hair that good.

I think he got it in the 1980's and was the "face" of Hairfusion or something like that..

That might be the key to Richo's hair.

Nothing to do with lack of hygiene pal, everything to do with complete and utter incompetence.

What, like the Ruby Princess that sent it's viral load all over the country?

The Ruby Princess clusterfuck, as bad as it was, isn't even in the same league as what this arrogant power hungry piece of shit has done, or actually failed to do.

At this point, yes
CYC to Port Hacking had a great turnout on Saturday.....

Yeah SW all the way to Botany Bay, Glass out for an hour, East to PH then NE all the way home. Never got above 10 knots  8 1/2 hours for a 40 mile race

I felt for you.... we had a local Port Hacking race that was fine but it looked sick out there

Public Health Tasmania just today said you shouldn’t go trick or treating. Allowing 500-1000 yachties in, majority of which would be from two currently banned states, would be a WILD decision IMO. 60/40 it’ll be on woth restrictions I reckon. I mean QLD is gunna have 30000 at the AFL.

It will be interesting to see how CYCA handles it.

Watching the awards the other night there was a lot of "looking forward to Hobart this year" comments being made by senior people.

Bit of insider trading. Training & preparing before it’s announced.

I love it when committees at clubs think they get a say in how the world works, especially in 2020.  Made even more awkward by the fact the CYCA has been on the NSW hot spot list not once but twice.

Pretty wild time to be alive!

State of Emergency’s in place. AFL pushing Qld gov to have full stadium of 45,000 at grand final. Tasmania says don’t go walk around outdoors in your neighbour hood (trick or treating). WHO backflip on lockdowns. Victoria passes  “unprecedented and excessive” COVID compliance law. West Australian CHO says border closure is against his advice. All in the last week & somehow they are going to run a yacht race where the two major contributing states are at this stage not allowed to enter the state in which the race finishes in.

Would be a huge win for common sense but certainly against the establishment.

They will set up a large marquee and limit it to dockside area would be my edumacated guess......

Toilets? Showers? Flights home? Turn & burn only? Say it gets 80 starters that’s 800 odd ppl. Can’t see 15 crew + rich owner on the bunks of a TP52 then getting out of there with a food drop.

It’s not clear on the website yet.

They are jumbled amongst the other yachts, so it’s hard to work out.

Hopefully they’re identifiable soon!

There  are 2 SunFast 3300's and 2 SF3600's which I suspect were all going for 2h. Although one of the 3600's recently changed ownership and maybe the new owner might have other ideas now? There is a Lombard 34 Mistral which I believe was also bought for the 2h S2H

I do wonder how many Vic entries will still race. The lockdown might have cut into some boats prep time too much.

The race won't proceed unless there is a major change in thinking by the Tasmanian Gov't about how they are managing the apparent rampant COVID risk on the mainland.  Common sense would suggest you remove all the State borders now the virus is either none existent or suppressed in almost all States (even Vic seems to be now under control), but we all know common sense aint that common in most politicians unfortunately.

The 3600 that recently changed hands is entered with both old and new owners going - if it happens...

Maybe he got sick of sailing a boat that he has publicly called a dog on national TV?

That’s dog beat WOXI last year & 2nd on the line. I mean beck might be the smartest supermaxi owner out there. Spent cents on the dollar compared to the others who have played that game for a while & got a podium.

You mean when they turned of the AIS and went left around the boats ahead

No last year when they went left into a big hole & then went further left into the big hole. All the boats went around them.

BREAKING: Tasmania’s border will not reopen to NSW on October 26. It will still reopen to SA, NT, WA, QLD and ACT

Will be interesting:

"A further update will be provided for people travelling from NSW prior to October 26."

26 is only a few days before entries close...!

Alive still going?

What is WOIX's excuse? Richo's hair can't get a flight back to reunite with him?

No

They can’t get the brains trust into the country to operate the AIS due to covid.

Most of them are locals aren’t they & the ones that work overseas would probably be home anyway due to COVID.

Its probably not a good look for the Oatley's to enter Wild Oats-XI in the Sydney Hobart, i'm assuming Hamilton Island wouldn't exactly be fully booked at the moment??

I bet wine sales are up though :lol::lol:

I'd love to see it go ahead too but to me, the want of the organizing committee for it to go ahead does not equal the various government's ALLOWING it to go ahead. :(

I reckon it’ll go ahead.

You can enter NSW now from TAS (so we know we can get home).

The question is can we enter TAS from NSW, and I think that will be answered as ‘yes’ soon.

For VIC entries there are more uncertainties, but I’m not sure that the even will be canceled because of them (?).

AUSTRALIA OPEN BY CHRISTMAS: Prime Minister Scott Morrison has just announced the borders of all states and territories, EXCEPT WESTERN AUSTRALIA, will be open by Christmas 2020.

Except...we're a Federation...so he doesn't have the authority to make that call. Each State will determine what is in their interests...just as WA has. SO...all Morrison is saying is that...at this point in time, the state leaders have informed him that it is their intention to reopen by Xmas....subject to covid remaining controlled. Like alot of Scotty from marketing announcements...it doesn't mean much.

Did you expect that the Premiers would announce each other’s dates? If you’ve been paying attention, every time National Cabinet meets, the premiers miraculously decide to bring forward their openings. Scotty wielding a big stick behind closed doors.

Wielding a big stick....yeah right. If that was the case WA would be opening too. Scotty's idea of leadership is to watch carefully and see which way the states are marching...then and only then...jump out in front and declare he's the band leader!

All those Labor states would be shut until the vaccine if not for Federal pressure.

When it comes to the states, all he can do is market the decisions they make.

Covid goes to show that Federation is fucked.

I think we can all agree Governors need to be made redundant.

But you're still missing the point...our constitution is based on a federated model...that means that whatever powers that do reside at a National (Federal) level only exist because they have been ceded by the states. The states have considerable powers. It's arguably easier under our governmental structure, for states to agree to get rid of Canberra, than for Canberra to eliminate state powers!
