I’m wondering if Julian Asante could successfully block extradition to America because the judicial system has become unreliable when handling matters which directly impact the president, especially when it concerns Russian efforts to interfere with the 2016 election.

Trump has shown no hesitation to use his influence over AG Barr, and views the Dept of Justice as a just another political weapon. 

The precedent of directing investigations, altering their findings and direct intervention in sentencing decisions by this president makes this argument legitimate, IMO.
