Computer says; December 2020 - "COVID-19 Hotel Quarantine Inquiry Final Report" Computer says the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS); - Established the designation of a ‘hot hotel’ as a workplace. - Selected the 'hot hotel' workplaces. - Selected those to work at these 'hot hotel' workplaces. - Instructed ALL those working at these 'hot hotel' workplaces. - Were responsible for monitoring and controlling any virus transmissions both to and from these 'hot hotel' workplaces. jack_sparrow 7,696
Australia hasn't shut doors to anyone entering from UK which is good. Unfortunately for anyone stranded in UK transiting before entering Australia (the are no direct flights) they are fucked. Their flights cancelled since Monday as all major European, Middle East and Asia hubs have shut the door on the UK. They now go to the back of ScoMo's quarantine line up for a place sometime next year. Upside is those stranded outside UK, those quarantine places are freed up. Downside is they have and more already been taken by those in Australia being placed in mandatory state not self quarantine by the states exercising independent border closures. Equals more people overseas get bumped and stuck in high risk places. Morrison was warned exactly of this occuring and was advised to correct system and how as it isn't sustainable. He ignored the advise, favouring popularity over leadership.

jack_sparrow 7,696
More pressure on Morrison to start listening to the experts. The Victorian "COVID-19 Hotel Quarantine Inquiry Final Report" has taken evidence and recommended that Victoria’s Quarantine Program for prevention be improved for international arrivals by having TWO models that would operate concurrently. The first being a facility-based model and the second being a home-based model. How long Morrison can defend cherry picking scientific advice, believing his popularity ratings and marketing credentials of introducing Lara Bingle's tits to the world, is superior to epidemiology, will be interesting to watch. He will be comforted by world beating Convid outcomes overseas where leaders have also cherry picked the science for populist reasons, bullshit and rely on their experience with tits. America - A reality TV show host renoun for lying about his grabbing of pussy and tits. UK - A ex-reporter fired for lying and as a Minister fired for lying about having a pair of tits on the side. Scott you mean an exemption for our flights that we fly 90% empty and have done so for 5 months with you ignoring us and where we are are subsidising Australia's access to and from the world? RobG 816
Here's a chrissy present for y'all: Queensland health minister says crew of coronavirus-infected superyacht 'not cooperating' Queensland police have launched an investigation after a female crew member of a luxury superyacht that sailed from the Maldives to Cairns tested positive to coronavirus. Queensland health minister Yvette D’Ath said the 14 passengers and six crew aboard the Lady E yacht have not been cooperating with contact-tracing inquiries since they arrived in the state on Monday. “The superyacht in question has not been very cooperative at all in relation to information being provided to the Queensland Police Service,” D’Ath said. Records show the luxury yacht – which features spa facilities, a gym, a cinema, a heated pool and an elevator between floors – visited Gibraltar, Egypt and the Maldives before embarking on the six-week voyage to Cairns. Guardian Australia understands Queensland police are still trying to determine the nationalities of those onboard. Queensland tourism operators 'devastated' as Covid border closures force mass cancellations Tourism businesses in regional Australia have reported losing up to 85% of summer bookings in a day as state borders closed to greater Sydney residents. While the ban on international travel has supercharged domestic tourism demand, some popular destinations such as the Whitsundays have been hit with cancellations from big-spending Sydneysiders now unable to travel interstate during what is usually one of the busiest weeks of the year for tourism operators. “I’m devastated. I can’t tell you I was literally in tears,” said Laureth Rumble who runs the Elysian Retreat on Long Island in the Whitsundays with her family.

Also many Kiwis have got back via Australia. 13 hours ago, SCARECROW said: it’s the same “issue” controlled numbers coming into the country at any time so authorities can manage the situation Hardly the same. NZ authority rests with Jacinda. Quarantine capacity is controlled by Jacinda. She has not devolved that to regional councils or anyone. No idea of NZ capacity. No idea if Jacinda has reports on quarantine and or ignoring them. Aust authority rests with ScoMo. Quarantine capacity and methodology he has devolved to 8 states and territories. Australia has capacity to burn. ScoMo sitting on two Commonwealth and one State Inquiry reports that says Aust quarantine is fucked and unsustainable. He has ignored them. He doesn't admit the states quarantine had a 'breakdown'. - So thanks for posting that gem LB. - So you would have to agree ScoMo's plan of handing over his authority to the states continues to be really working out a fucking treat. Well apart from laughing at her hair lip of course. Well this case not "a straw created by a comedian". All started by residents report and an email to residents by Mayor Nth Beaches and the comedian a resident, all landing simultaneously. Could have died there However another resident who found out by just happening to follow the comedian. Also not the sort of resident the Mad Monk, ScoMo and Gladys would want to have found out. Now that's turned into a very long piece of straw. One rule for us and one for them never has a happy ending....in the same neighbourhood ..ogh dear. My guess the Mad Monk is going to be scooping up a lot of lib and labour dog shit off his front lawn for a while....maybe some not dog. PS. I wonder how much the Mad Monk has had to pay the coffee shop owner for his CCTV footage?? BTW she also seems to take the piss out of herself maybe better than you. ShortForBob 2,940
Bugger Thanks NSW. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-12-30/three-people-test-positive-to-covid-19-in-victoria/13022340 It's back. Victoria has recorded three new COVID-19 infections in suburban Melbourne, ending the state's two-month streak of no locally acquired cases. Key points: The three new Victorian cases are not from hotel quarantine Authorities believe the cases were acquired from community transmission Victoria has announced further border restrictions with NSW The new cases are from Mentone, Hallam and Mitcham and were not people in hotel quarantine. A State Government spokesperson said the cases were believed to be linked to the Sydney outbreak. The cases include two women in their 40s and a woman in her 70s. Victoria's commander of COVID-19 response, Jeroen Weimar, said health authorities were supporting the three women, who are isolating at home. "Extensive contact tracing is underway and as a result there are currently more than 40 primary close contacts that are being supported to isolate immediately," he said. Mr Weimar said contact tracing would be done throughout the night. He said he expected more close contacts to emerge from that work. Five exposure sites listed The Department of Health and Human Services has revealed these five exposure sites linked to the new cases: Century City Walk and Mocha Jo's in Glen Waverly between 1:30pm and 5:00pm on December 28. Katialo restaurant in the Eaton Mall at Oakleigh between 7:00pm and 8:15pm on December 28. Mentone/Parkdale Beach at Mentone between 10:00am and 4:30pm. Holy Family Parish Doveton between 4:00pm and 6:00pm on December 26 Kmart, Big W, Target, Millers, King of Gifts and Lacoste stores at Fountain Gate Shopping Centre on December 26 between 9:00am and 11:00am. Um..you might want to rethink that. Sydney's outbreak is not at all under control and Gladys seems to be too fucking arrogant or scared of her voter base to even mandate masks. The restrictions are weak. A new, unlinked cluster of COVID-19 cases in Sydney's inner-west has health authorities bracing for an influx of new cases into the new year. Six cases have emerged in the suburb of Croydon which have no connections to other known cases yet.
