In March 2019, the Australian current affairs program Sunday Night interviewed Suleman for the octoplets’ tenth birthday. She conceded that although at the time she was "absolutely [...] young, dumb, irresponsible, selfish, reckless", she does not regret any of her children. The feature noted that the household is run with "military precision", and the children are "happy, healthy, and well-mannered"

Not sure what's wrong with this one.  A HARM missile is an air to surface Homing Anti-Radiation Missile, generally fired at radar stations in the first wave of an attack.  That makes it safer for the gen 4/4.5 non-stealthy aircraft like the F-15's and 16's to join in.  It homes in on the radiation of the radar unit.

The best part is that as far as I know our 'new' fighters can't carry the fucking things.  Because.... stealth.  Maybe the new setup is using drones with HARM missiles, or maybe we have cruise missiles with HARM capability.

And that's without looking it up.  Wikipedia probably has a lot more info.

Re grrrr, yeah I just thought the juxtaposition of 'park' and 'missile' was a bit ironic;  plus the connection with Jeff's original origin story of lonqr being aviation related.

In other words, life is a test.  If you can tolerate unmitigated boredom in life, we promise you an eternity of boredom in the afterlife.

Why does hell always sound like the more interesting place?

The folks with the totes may have legitimate purposes for filling up - not everyone owns a reinforced tote like that and in some cases (like our local orchards) I see this exact same thing going on.  They get regular deliveries to elevated tanks, but in the busy season sometimes they get close to running out and need to make a gas run rather than shutting down their tractors.

Those idgits with the plastic bags and the cans deserve to be thrown in jail and have their cars impounded.

Those look like water totes...  are they remotely appropriate for gas?  It would be inconvenient for the tank to start to dissolve and get all squishy on the way home.

As for the bags.   I've seen that photo before.   I vote for either a stunt, or yet again I am amazed at the level of stupidity out there.   No way those bags would not burst on the first pothole.  The trash bags we buy at least.  Heck those don't even look like the heavy duty kind.

meh a waste of a good egg, you go to all that trouble to get a good hardboiled egg, peel them nicely, and then cut them in half; could have just as easily mashed up the yolk with a little curry, mayo and a little salt and pepper it would have been perfect..

FL LONQR

There were stupid fucks doing this shit all this past weekend and into this week in NC (and up/down the eastern states by all reports); started seeing it while driving down Saturday in southern Kentucky rednecks were filling anything large or small that held liquid with gas: milk jugs, paint thinner cans, you name it. Containers crammed in trunks and the back of SUVs along with a gaggle of kids and dogs in the backseats, absolutely insane. I filled the Expedition in Tennessee knowing there would be nothing in Carolina for a few days (fortunately it has a big tank), a few places were gradually getting fuel again early Monday but there was nothing until then. Still many stations without gas when I left on Tuesday but pretty easy to find; people were still doing stupid shit, I’m surprised there aren’t more reports of fires.

Put a small piece of crispy bacon on top of the devilled bit, and top with a tiny dot of hot sauce.

It's a thing of beauty.

PB&J, that's NQR.
