Canadian Pirate (Alvis Marine)

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty new to sailing and purchased two Pirate Dinghies from a government auction on the East Coast of Canada.  They're in decent shape for the money spent, but they are missing a few bits of rigging, sheets, and line.  I can't find much information online about these, or any decent photos that would show how they should be set up.  If anyone has one of these boats, or some photos of the rigging I'd really appreciate some tips!

John Evetts, owner of Alvis Marine, also built Tasars. He got agreement from Frank Bethwaite to use a modified version of the Tasar deck for the Pirate. I believe the Pirate mast and boom use the same aluminum extrusions that are used for the Tasar mast and boom.
