Best Tow Vehicle For US1

Recommended Posts

Unless you are launching from sandy beaches, just about any car you fancy for something that light.. You wouldn't need 4WD for a normal slipway..

For a 73 design a 73 vehicle is most appropriate. And keeping with the Bronco sentiment:

That would be slick

I assume you actually want to get to your final destination?

90% of all Landrovers ever built are still on the road

the other 10% have actually reached their final destination....

I have a 1985 diesel Volkswagen golf and a 2011 diesel Jetta wagon. Both of them will tow any dinghy I’ve owned at their normal cruising speed (cars’) and up any launch ramp, CL16 being the heaviest.  We did travel to one launch ramp and when I saw it was sand I decided against it. The only time you would want 4wd.

Mine must be in the 10% I do thousands of miles every year and it's never broken down.. But...

I do look after it.

I'll get you a pic, @Gouvernail there's a guy who will be new to our Laser fleet that has a golf cart and just had a tongue welded onto his dolly so he can tow it around the Park.
