The GOP has systematically fucked up in-person voting in selective areas.  In your "understanding the process", does a 10 hour wait in line sound like a reasonable process to you? Some, as

America owes a debt of gratitude to Stacey Abrams.

53.5 and 53.2 at 49% is pretty solid. 2,152,000 votes remaining.

So far 88% of the vote in is early voters.  Total expected to be 72%.  How much better will Pubs do in day of the election voters?

Savanah vote (blue) and Forsyth (red) have no votes in yet.

Waaaaay to early to know much of anything from the results.

I agree but it's coming in fast.  Unfortunately we have to wait for dog to confirm the chain of custody of the ballots so grab a cocktail.

49% counted Ossoff and Warnock up by about 150,000 votes each.

Shit.  That's a compelling case for targeted fraud.

Hopefully the GOP will take the lead so there is no fraud.

I love this narrative.  If the SoS were a Dem. they would just dismiss em out of hand but their own party, not so easy.  And this guy is shrewd and stays 2 steps ahead of bumbles (not that it's all that hard).

Surprising, not surprising.

Trump privately admits it’s over, but wants to brawl for attention

Donald Trump has privately acknowledged he lost the presidency. He knows Joe Biden will replace him. He recognizes Congress will formally certify the results on Wednesday.

To one person, Trump even confided he was “just disappointed we lost.”

Trump’s acceptance has taken shape in recent weeks, according to three people who have spoken to Trump in that time span, with one conversation occurring a week ago. Trump admits his defeat, but still maintains he would have won a fair election, they said, despite no concrete evidence emerging of widespread voter fraud. He has even discussed his exit plans from Washington with staff, debating when to move to his South Florida Mar-a-Lago resort, according to one of the people.

ometimes, Trump does still lapse back into the belief that maybe, just maybe, he could somehow eke out a win, most often when listening to his small group of lawyers, including former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Chapman University law professor John Eastman.

But mostly, he is continuing his fight to subvert the election for a Trumpian reason: to keep the attention on himself and give his supporters what they want, according to the people who have spoken with him.

“The point is to still be relevant and still be talked about in the news,” said one of the people. “This is someone who’s been on Page Six of the New York Post for 40 years. He’s beyond embarrassment.”

With that in mind, Trump has kept up a flurry of activity to pressure other Republicans to aid his effort to block Biden’s presidency.

In the days before Congress votes to certify the election results, Trump has been calling numerous members of Congress and legislators in battleground states, while meeting with lawyers and top aides.

He even publicly pressured Vice President Mike Pence on Tuesday to go beyond his constitutional duties and upend Wednesday’s certification proceedings, which the vice president will oversee in a mostly ceremonial role. But hours later at lunch, Pence informed Trump that he doesn't believe he has the power to block he certification of Biden's victory, according to two White House officials. The vice president told Trump that he planned to allow objections and possibly make his own statement on election fraud, they said

Trump’s team hopes to secure 180 House members, along with 13 senators, to object to Biden’s Electoral College win, likely turning a traditionally short ceremony into a day-long event.

If lawmakers contest results from the six swing states of Pennsylvania, Nevada, Wisconsin, Georgia, Michigan and Arizona, the vote could drag into Thursday.

Being reported that 170k early votes  in DeKalb haven’t been counted along with 30k of today’s vote.  Early vote is breaking 80% for the Dems

So that means the Dems take the lead later in the night.   That means we get to look forward to Trump, Dog, and the rest of the elk talking fraud for weeks on end.

Swell. Somebody pinch me.

And while you're contemplating that, think about a world free of Mitch McConnell as majority leader. Close your eyes, let that sink in. Nice, isn't it?

So Moscow Mitch gets to lose twice tomorrow. When do they get sworn in? Actually, I'd like Moscow to preside over this. BTW, the result has to be within 0.5% to get a recount.

Plenty of votes remain, but the Democrats are now the favorites.

Source: New York Times

The Democrats now appear favored to prevail in both of their Senate races in Georgia, and therefore are the favorites to take control of the U.S. Senate. The two Republican candidates hold small leads in the vote count, and still have a chance to hold onto those advantages, but most of the remaining vote is in Democratic-leaning areas.

The largest block of remaining ballots is the in-person vote in DeKalb County, a heavily Democratic area that includes part of Atlanta. Those votes alone could break for the Democrats by 120,000 ballots. Over all, the two Democratic candidates are favored to win the remaining vote by around nine percentage points, according to Upshot estimates.

Democrats benefited from a strong turnout among Black voters, who are on track to represent a much larger share of the electorate than they did in the general election, based on the turnout by precinct and early voting data.

With about 15 percent of the vote left to count, the Rev. Raphael Warnock’s projected lead over Senator Kelly Loeffler is larger than Jon Ossoff’s projected lead over David Perdue. It’s hard to say when either race will be called. The Ossoff-Perdue call might have to wait until late absentee and provisional ballots are counted.

The projections say most of the remaining votes are Democrat. As many as they need, anyhow. The presses are running, printing fake ballots.

War criminals? Potentially I would say yes if given a position of impunity and enough body guards. In that case killing brown skin civilian women and children should be no more difficult then having the servants pull a few weeds in the garden.

Comey comes out for the "let America heal" bullshit. Fuck him, he was disastrously wrong too many times.

Quote

Donald Trump should not be prosecuted once he leaves the White House no matter how much evidence has been amassed against him, the former FBI director James Comey writes in a new book.

The next US attorney general, under Joe Biden, should not “pursue a criminal investigation of Donald Trump”, Comey writes, “no matter how compelling the roadmap left” by the special counsel Robert Mueller, or “how powerful the evidence strewn across his history of porn stars and financial fraud”.

“Although those cases might be righteous in a vacuum,” Comey writes, “the mission of the next attorney general must be fostering the trust of the American people.”

Rep Chip Roy (R-TX) on Fox said “Full scale, hot conflict” if the Senate falls. Said the Dems will push thru free fair voting for all Americans. Leading to the Repubs never again controlling anything. Gotta admit he is not bullshitting here.

I suppose the hate, racism, stagnation, corruption and mango-hued shitgibbon had nothing to do with losing power? Shocking, to me, that it was even close.

All of this is based on pure speculation and an inability to believe Trump lost.  It's no more compelling then me saying it's impossible that 70 million Americans are still dumb enough to vote for Trump.  Thank you for wasting my time.

If you think it was all based on speculation you didn't read it. The writer cites facts an anomalies and if you apply Occom's razor the most likely explanation for the anomalies is fraud. My position now is that I accept both that Biden is the president and the possibility that he may have won due to fraud. I expect the picture will become clearer in the fullness of time.

I did read it.  And it was bullshit based on speculation and “there’s no way” idiocy.  Occom’s razer says Biden won because more people voted for him.
