The tack went fine but the runner screwed the bear away. Someone is ringing the bell.

Having a race like that is why the committee was correct in postponing the race so many times. I think that the race was worth the wait.  Cheers to the Race Committee!

Semi Final Race 1 book is open - hit like for an AM win, dislike for LRPP.  Don’t sit on the fence now!

Please just stick to the facts and not your opinion.  You have a fundamental misunderstanding of how this all works.  The flu is down because of all the hand washing, social distancing, mask wearing,

This. How can you grind and call tactics.

Exactly. Huffin and puffin trying to pump like a young buck. Ain't happening. Somebody needs to have their head out of the boat. No fault but theirs.

But damn, ETNZ designed an indestructible mast section. How and the heck did that mast not break?

Call it whatever way you wish but AM fucked entry to the starting box, got the start wrong, got lucky on one leg and then went to hard when they had 500m in the bank.

Your right but it still sucks for the overall competition, I hope they get the boat working again soon.

I hope that the other teams including ETNZ chip in and help. There’s enough tenders out there to stop the boat sinking. A lot of electronics will need fixing or replacing. Other syndicates should cough up spares to help.

The Bad days of Dennis Conner win at all cost are behind us and teams should act accordingly

Dean called it.  The sail trimmer kept trying to talk them out of it.

Yeah. They were ahead. They should have been conservative. They wanted to shut the door, so they were doing an agressive move in a huge puff, and then there was something of almost a mutiny, and someone forgot to let off the runner. Definition of chaos. I guess sailing in big wind can get that way, but this is indemic of a leader-tactition-grinder mindset.

Nah, you should do the same thing you do every time. Letting the leeward runner off, for instance.

Well, on the bright side, the boat seemed very fast in these conditions.

But wow they have fundamental crew role issues and they need to make a change immediately.

Hope the boat can be back out on the water quickly so they can practice whatever new arrangement they decide on.

Why does Deano grip the wheel so hard? Does not show confidence or comfort.

So far, in the Prada Cup, my favorite helmsperson is Francesco Bruni. Calm, smart, love listening to this guy.

When we sail in good wind, even when not ahead, we are generally conservative.

Did they say whether they went larger or smaller? I fear they went smaller and will regret the decision. I still don't get why these boats are using the low aspect ratio jibs. I thought TNZ taught all the challengers that lesson during the Christmas cup.

Ahem

(thay went smaller)

That port foil hit the water almost flat. The forces transmitted up the arm to the hull pivot must have been huge. My bet is that there is a crack there!
