Trump's farewell party.

The Pentagon will not host traditional Armed Forces farewell tribute for Donald Trump - Defence officials

The Pentagon will not host a traditional Armed Forces ceremony to farewell outgoing President Donald Trump, according to several reports, following his second impeachment on charges of inciting an insurrection.

Two senior Department of Defense officials confirmed to Washington-based Defense One - a digital news outlet covering the defence and national security sector - that a military farewell is not being planned for the President, who will officially vacate the White House on January 20.

In recent history, the Pentagon - the headquarters of the Department of Defense - will mark the end of a President's administration by hosting an Armed Forces farewell tribute, during which the Commander-in-Chief has the opportunity to thank troops who work perilously to defend their country.

However, it now appears Vice President Mike Pence has been tasked with the tradition. On Wednesday (local time), the White House announced that Pence will front a series of engagements to celebrate "the Trump Administration's historic foreign policy achievements".

It follows reports that Trump is seeking an extravagant sendoff on the morning of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration.

An insider source told CNN last week that Trump wants his departure from the White House to be commemorated with an elaborate "military-style sendoff" and a "crowd of supporters".

According to ABC News, the President had envisioned a military band, a red carpet and a US Air Force fly-past to mark the end of his administration, with the Associated Press reporting that Trump had also inquired about the possibility of a 21-gun salute.

At this rate he'll be needing a straight white jacket.

OH THE HUMILIATION!

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2021-01-18/trump-farewell-planned-for-wednesday-morning-ahead-of-biden-oath

White House officials are planning a farewell ceremony for Donald Trump as he leaves Washington on Wednesday morning for the last time as president, according to a copy of the invitation seen by Bloomberg News.

The event is scheduled for 8 a.m. at Joint Base Andrews just outside the nation’s capital, where the outgoing president will make his departure aboard Air Force One for Florida. Invitations have been circulated to supporters, including former administration officials and other backers, asking them to arrive by 7:15 a.m.

Trump has decided to skip the Jan. 20 inauguration of his successor, Joe Biden, at the U.S. Capitol, becoming the first living U.S. president in more than a century to choose not to attend the regular exchange of power. Trump will instead be at his Mar-a-Lago resort as the incoming president is sworn in at noon that day.

A White House spokesman declined to comment.

Some White House aides will be on the South Lawn for the lift-off of the presidential helicopter with Trump aboard, though the attendance will be limited. Strict security measures throughout downtown Washington and especially near the White House will make it too difficult for outside guests to access the campus.

guess it'd be funny if some random sniper perched on a high place blew the upper half of his head off during the helo ride to af1. I know that's bad karma, but this is special.

No it wouldn't be funny at all.

Poor old Joe has been waiting for this inauguration all his life. Pooping on his party would be a dismal thing to do.

While I understand your sentiment this would only fuel the deep state conspiracy theorists and prolong, or prevent the return to any sense of normalcy

I'm well aware it wouldn't be prudent, I also grow tired of the lack of accountability and justice in the world.

I'm good with the 21 gun salute, seeing as he's asked for it.

Perhaps he should be careful what he asks for...

It's not an attractive proposition at all.

He needs to suffer and have all his lies and graft and cheating revealed in a Court of Law and then have his 100 years sentence commuted to life community service.

Cleaning up after the homeless on Monday,

Emptying bedpans of  old people on Tuesday

Working on food distribution for single parents and kids on Wednesday

Planting trees on Thursday and Friday

Shopping for old people on Saturday.

He can have Sunday off to attend all services at a choice of his devotees choosing.

Snake handling and talking in tongues a special treat Easter and Christmas.

He already talks in tongues.

Anyway, the Trump farewell party starts on the 21st, or at least the afternoon of the 20th. That's when the entire sane part of the world celebrates.

Maybe load the 21 guns with his offspring and chief perper-traitors?

How about at an allotted time, all the Trumpwits head outside with their dogballs and fire 21 rounds into the night sky. Imagine the noise and excitement and there is a pretty good chance that a few will shoot each other as well as put a few into their own feet. And it will reduce the number of bullets that Tom and the lads will have to use in the coming civil war. It would be a beautiful thing and mindless gunfire is a fitting end to his orange rein.

And there's always the chance the person with the gun falls down drunk, or other fascinating scenarios.
