Matagi 833
... the system glitch was probably the best thing that has ever happened to this part of the forum. Some of you may have even done something crazy. Like going out, calling a friend, taking a shower, travelling to the Galapagos. Others probably tried to poison themselves. Now, happily we can resume with the daily business. Where were we? Right, Lockdown is crazy in one thread, a must-do in another, statistically speaking statistics are lies with numbers in them and the sock puppets will kill us all, but only the UK variants. And the Brazilians. And Texas, ooohh Texas. Popcorn, anyone?
Gissie 1,103
Really, you think Jack did anything but smash the refresh button? Rather unlikely.
LB 15 4,996
Has anyone seen Jack? I was so worried about him when I saw his life blood had been taken away that I went around to check on him. His neighbors said that although they have never actually seen him leave the flat, they heard swearing and what sounded to them like a fist going through a computer screen. Then silence. I will bet quite a few people on Facebook hit the block button yesterday...

jack_sparrow 7,639
"Perhaps they could have avoided it by taking the Governments advice to return home in March". @LB 15 THAT IS 3 DAYS NOTICE TO RESIDENTS OF POSSIBLE BORDER CLOSURES THAT WOULD STOP/SERIOUSLY REDUCE ALL FLIGHTS 17 March 2020 - Australians who want to return from overseas warned by DFAT to do so ASAP ahead of possible COVID-19 border closures. AUSTRALIAN PRESS ONLY - NOT THE SUBJECT OF A DFAT MEDIA RELEASE 18 March 2020 - MEDIA STATEMENT Prime Minister - "We also now advise Australians who are overseas who wish to return to Australia, to do so as soon as possible by commercial means. Commercial options may quickly become limited." 19 March 2020 - MEDIA STATEMENT Prime Minister - "Australia is closing its borders to all non-citizens and non-residents. The entry ban takes effect from 9pm AEDT Friday, 20 March 2020" "We also strongly urge Australians looking to return home to do so as soon as possible. This follows our upgraded travel advice for all Australians not to travel overseas, at all". "Australians who cannot, or do not want to, return home should follow the advice of local authorities and minimise their risk of coronavirus exposure by self-isolating.The government is in discussions with airlines about the continuance of some international flights for the purpose of bringing Australians home and continuing the movement of goods and freight" From 19 March 2020 - All but Govt repatriation flights ceased and only 700 persons per day, down from 30,000 per day are arriving in Australia. The Govt had no contingency plan despite telling overseas residents it did. Quarantine with that 700 persons per day capacity started on 29 March. ______________________________________________________________ "Yeah my son was living in Milan until only 7 weeks ago. It has touched everyone. Stay safe" @LB 15 16 April 2020 "My son has many friends in Milan, having just lived there for nearly a year. This is a real crisis mate!" @LB 15 17 March 2020 "We were very lucky that we flew out 4 days before Milan was locked down" @LB 15 18 Nov 2020 "If all these people 'stranded' overseas love Australia so much, they can prove it by not risking the lives of all their countrymen AND STAY THE FUCK AWAY." (his emphasis) @LB 15 8 February 2021 No one put a gun at their heads and made them go overseas" @LB 15 8 February 2021
