You let those people get their feet all over that beautiful paint job?!? :) What's that color called?

It’s an exact match to the gunmetal blue that Stars and Stripes went with when they won the cup back. I don’t care where they put their feet. I only cleaned the bottom on that bus. I sailed on a different SC70.

If you really want the exact color, I can get it for you. (Kind of sad no ones impressed with the custom VC Epoxy bottom color!  :D )

There's gunsmoke blue - more popularly known now as Stars & Stripes Blue.

Thanks for clarifying. The SC70 I posted is the same color. I mistakenly called it gunmetal blue.

Actually, I had always known it as gunmetal blue as well.  I only called it gunsmoke blue because that is what an article on S&S 87 called it.

That’s Evolution, the Santa Cruz 70 back when Terry Kohler owned it.

There is also the SC 70 Westerly (ex-Mongoose) which I believe is, or was recently for sale.  With a lighter shade of grey/blue.  Blend in nicely with the waters of the PNW.

I like this colour scheme - might use it on our SC 27.  The boat is "Wraith" a GP 26 out of WVYC.  I couldn't find a photo credit - @Maxx Baqustae is this one of yours?

May be an image of 1 person

Not mine mate. I do have a bunch of "Wraith" over the years including a cover shot of the club's monthly magazine.

I like the exercise equipment on deck!

And the MOB pole sticking out the back like a danger flag on a semi.

That really needs lipstick on the bow slot. Or maybe teeth, like the fighter planes.

No, lipstick. Definitely lipstick. Smiling.

No, it went grey like the SC50 "Delicate Balance". I'll find it in my files somewhere.

This was technically a grey color, but it would change color to a more blue dependent upon the sea and sky. Some pics showing the difference, the hull color is the same in all pics, just variances in the light.

Thanks.

Hull #511. It started out like this. It had some blue but no grey, so until I painted it, did not meet thread criteria!

The nice thing about Alexseal is you can buff it and repair it. That was a roll & tip job in a dusty boat yard that I did in 2019.

Very cool color in person

Other than the bootstripe, the colours remind me of Resolute Salmon - the Brit Chance One Tonner that won the '76 OTC
