"SINK OR SWIM" literally

Recommended Posts

A boat off Newport Harbor (California) started taking on water.  They called for help. As they were being towed in things got worse and the passengers had to abandon ship. The name of the boat that sank?  "Sink or Swim". Ironic.

To make matters worse, it was a Sea Trial for prospective new owners...

We were tied to a can in Clifton on Union Island. If you know it you are familiar with a very obvious, circular reef in the middle of the harbour called Roundabout Reef. A very nice Oyster (50ish) came charging into the harbour as if the reef was not there. Managed to get well stuck until aided by about a dozen boat boys managed to get it off with no obvious significant damage. Boat's name was Roundabout. Seemed a marriage made in heaven (or hell).

Who takes 14 on a sea trial?

A broker taking his BIL's family out for a spin on a client's boat.
