Glenn Beck Says He Has COVID Again and It’s Hit His Lungs, but He’s Taking Ivermectin

“I am great, Mark. I am great, Mark,” Beck told fellow conservative radio Mark Levin during his daily radio program. “Despite having COVID and seeing the destruction of our country,” he added.

“Do you have COVID right now?” Levin asked.

“Ya, I do,” Beck fired back, adding, “It’s [COVID-19] starting to go into my lungs today and a little disturbing. I’m on all the medications and treatments and everything else, so.”

“It’s all good,” Beck said while letting out a deep cough.

“No, the monoclonal doesn’t seem to be working for the new strain,” Beck responded before listing off a series of drugs, including ivermectin, which he has been consuming to hit the sickness “hard.”

“I have had it for about a week,” Beck continued while coughing. “I’m not going downhill. I mean, I think I’m feeling better. It’s just getting into my lungs... you will want to avoid that,” he said about the sickness progressing into his lower respiratory tract.

Great, now the mostly dead are cluttering up hospitals.

Quote

A Minnesota judge blocked a hospital from taking a patient with Covid-19 off life support Thursday, a day after his wife said she "vehemently" disagreed with doctors' decision, court records show.

Anoka County Judge Jennifer Stanfield issued the temporary restraining order barring doctors at Mercy Hospital, north of Minneapolis, from removing the man, Scott Quiner, from a ventilator after they declined to provide treatment that his wife, Anne Quiner, had requested, her lawyer said in an interview.

The lawyer, Marjorie Holsten, said she didn't know what the treatment was. Anne Quiner didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

In an affidavit filed in Minnesota's Tenth Judicial District, Anne Quiner said she had been appointed to make her husband's health care decisions. He was transferred to the hospital's intensive care unit Nov. 6, NBC affiliate KARE of Minneapolis reported.

In the affidavit, Quiner said she was working to find a new facility for her husband but needed more time.

May I suggest a cardboard box in the parking lot?

Bad day at the Darwin proving grounds. Several codes, three for the same patient (never a good clinical indicator). Several young and middle aged adults on vents, I’ve heard they are significantly more common in an ICU a bit to the south.

No, they aren’t vaxxed, except for the extreme elderly and cancer/dialysis patients.

PACUs in the region have become ICUs, elective surgeries are grinding to a halt. One hospital closed, extra service lines are closed. ERs are full, strokes and heart attacks are taking longer to receive care and patients are catching COVID in crowded areas.

Hospitals and physician practices aren’t making money, skilled nursing labor is subject to both price gouging/opportunism (ie free market forces) and high absenteeism due to COVID illness and test results. That’s a poison pill, folks.

Patients are dying, but no one really seems to care. Social DKs are angry and oh so knowledgeable about pandemics and medicine chat about how it’s all just politics.

My wife and I are advancing our age of retirement/career change by five years. Starting to make plans now.

Fact-check: Are you 17 times more likely to be hospitalized for COVID-19 if unvaccinated?

White House press secretary Jen Psaki: “You are 17 times more likely to go to the hospital if you’re not vaccinated, 20 times more likely to die.”

PolitiFact's ruling: True

Here's why: On Jan. 10, when the U.S. reported 1.35 million new COVID-19 cases — the highest daily total for any country on record — White House press secretary Jen Psaki faced pushback regarding President Joe Biden’s assertion that the pandemic is, at this point, "a pandemic of the unvaccinated."

During a press briefing that day, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy implied that Biden’s characterization was inaccurate.

Sadly, 'Covid Dick' Is Real

It seems we can add sexual dysfunction to the long list of unexpected and unpleasant effects of the coronavirus. Thankfully, this doesn’t appear to be a common occurrence, and there are some potential remedies that those afflicted can try.

This week, the Slate-run sex advice podcast How to Do It discussed the harrowing tale of an anonymous letter writer who was suffering from what’s come to be known as “covid dick.” The writer, who identified as a heterosexual man in his 30s, said that he had gotten very sick and was hospitalized from covid-19 last July. After he was discharged, he began experiencing erectile dysfunction (ED). Though his symptoms did improve after seeing a doctor, the man reportedly was left with a glaring reminder of his ordeal. Describing himself as above average in penis size before covid-19, he said that his penis had now shrunk about 1.5 inches and that he had “become decidedly less than average.”

The podcast hosts, to their credit, also interviewed a pair of urologists who rightly noted that there’s a clear trail of evidence linking covid-19 to erectile or sexual dysfunction. A study this past November, for instance, found that men with covid-19 were about three times as likely to develop a new case of ED than those who didn’t catch covid-19. Some research has suggested that the risk may be nearly six times higher, yet other estimates are smaller, suggesting around a 20% increased risk. A small percentage of people with long covid, including women, have also reported sexual dysfunction as one of their symptoms. And sometimes, ED can indeed lead to shrinkage, especially if it’s caused by physical damage and scarring that causes the penis to stop becoming regularly erect.

There are a few theories as to how covid-19 can cause ED. The infection can possibly reach penile tissue and directly damage the surrounding blood vessels. It may also be due to the indirect effects of infection on the immune system, which may trigger damaging inflammation. (An overreacting immune system and blood vessel damage are also the prime suspects behind “covid toes.”) And the experience of hospitalization in severe cases can take a toll on the body, penis included. The risk of ED from blood vessel damage is probably greater in people who already have other relevant health conditions that can affect circulation, such as type 2 diabetes. Many cases of ED can also be chalked up to stress and anxiety, and covid survivors are unfortunately at higher risk of experiencing that as well.

That said, age is by far the largest risk factor for ED, with as much as 70% of men experiencing some level of it by their 70s. And while we don’t seem to have solid data on the actual prevalence of covid-related ED, it doesn’t appear to affect a huge proportion of men. The November study, for instance, found that slightly less than 5% of men in the sample were diagnosed with ED after covid-19.

As the Slate hosts note, there are readily available treatments for ED, such as the drug sildenafil (Viagra). And even a shrunken penis can be treated or prevented through what one urologist refers to as “penile rehab,” which can involve stretching exercises and/or penis-pumping devices. So not all hope is lost if you’re worried about the dreaded covid dick. And for the record, there’s no evidence at this time of a link between ED and getting vaccinated for covid-19.

Is that your Fauci on the right? :D

I’m glad you can find humor from the disinformation which is killing thousands of people.

Healthcare workers are hamstrung by interrupting patients’ last gasping phone call to intubate them, knowing they could’ve avoided their inevitable death.

We are exhausted by Americans putting their politics and tribalism over the safety of their neighbors and making our jobs once again a threat to our health, sanity, and livelihood.

ERs are overcrowded; MIs, strokes, surgical emergencies are getting slower treatment, so all patients are suffering.

And assholes who tell themselves they are good people spread lies that make the situation worse.

Can't imagine the reception from the regular employees making a lot less. Just spitballing total benefits ...

3 months rent at ? 2k+ a month, another couple of Ks for airfare ...

6,000 + 2,000 + 2500 x 12= 30,000 so ~$38K/ 12 weeks is a tad more than $3000 a week working along side a nurse making how much?

And all to support people who'd spit on them before they get sick and change their tunes. Mind, these are assholes that would vote against M4all without a clue of the interrelationships in play.

I don't see how we owe these folks this care in the first place let alone giving them priority over people attempting to stay as healthy as possible.

Is there anyone in the western hemisphere who thinks the Rs would reciprocate?

COVID-19 patients show more signs of brain damage than people with Alzheimer’s disease

Could COVID-19 actually be doing more harm to the human brain than Alzheimer’s disease? A new study reveals older patients contracting COVID have more signs of brain damage than people who develop the neurodegenerative disease.

Specifically, a team from NYU Grossman School of Medicine found significantly higher levels of certain blood proteins which typically rise when someone suffers neurological damage among COVID patients. Researchers say, over the short-term course of their infections, seven markers of brain damage were noticeably higher among COVID patients than non-COVID patients with Alzheimer’s. One of these markers was more than twice as high among coronavirus patients.

“Our findings suggest that patients hospitalized for COVID-19, and especially in those experiencing neurological symptoms during their acute infection, may have levels of brain injury markers that are as high as, or higher than, those seen in people who have Alzheimer’s disease,” says lead author Jennifer Frontera, MD, a professor in the Department of Neurology, in a university release.

They don't say if the brain damage was caused by Covid or was a preexisting condition.

A medical board in Maine has suspended the license of an MIT-educated doctor and ordered a psychiatric evaluation after she was accused of treating some of her patients with Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine and spreading misinformation about COVID-19.

The board stated in its January 12 order that allowing Nass to continue practicing medicine 'constitutes an immediate jeopardy to the health and physical safety of the public who might receive her medical services.'

On December 19, 2021, another doctor informed the Maine board that Nass had diagnosed an unvaccinated patient with COVID over the phone and prescribed to him five days of Ivermectin.

The patient's son later texted Nass, telling her his father was 'borderline delirious. He moans on every exhale and he says says snippers of things that don't make sense at all,' [sic] read the text, which was quoted in Ness' suspension order.

The son informed the internist that both his parents were 'not doing well at all.'

He added: 'My dad's breathing is very shallow and when he tries to breathe deeply he begins to cough violently. I don't see any signs of improvement. When do i need to consider taking him to the ER? Should we be taking more ivermectin?'

If Justice Sotomayor is too “at risk” to be around Justice Gorsuch without his mask on, then Sotomayer is not fit to serve on the Supreme Court and should step down. Stop punishing healthy people with masking and vaccine mandates. It’s time to either trust your vaccines and boosters and leave the rest of us alone OR shelter in place to protect your fragile health until you feel safe enough to come back out into a fully functioning normal society. Unvaccinated and unmasked people are NOT responsible for the state of others health.

I think this is something new.  There was not this much resistance to previous measures to minimize world epidemics that I can remember.  Maybe it is like the lemmings, when their population explodes they dive off a cliff.  The human population might have reached some point that triggered a species preservation action by allowing a good number to kill themselves off.  They are certainly convinced they are doing the right thing.

Or rolled out into the sun for God to provide.

That's what they did for my mother when she had spinal TB as a child. Hours in the sun every day, totally screwed up her skin for the rest of her life in addition to doing fuck-all for the TB.

And how they manage to live so long while being so stupid. Darwin needs to up his game.

To give him his due, he seems to have dramatically improved his targeting.

His productivity definitely needs improvement though.

It's not a new concept.

"Too Stupid To Live".

Not a prank and not satire!  It's one of the RWNJ's who did their own "research" instead of listening to the CDC..

There's a whole lot more of them out there, including my youngest brother, unvaccinated, got Covid and went back to work the next day.  He was livid that the Medical Doctors would not give him Ivermectin, or Hydroxychloroquine, or any of the vitamin regimens the anti-vaxers promote.  When I told him I prefered to follow the CDC, he said the Government lied and buried all the documents that he had seen in person, where all of these alternate treatments were proven by scientists, but the Government buried them all!!  His eyes were bugged out when he gave me this tirade and I had to....
