J/99 or J/105?

Asking for a friend...

The bow team on the 105 gets wetter than the driver on the 99. Unless it's raining really hard. If it's a big concern, your "friend" can always take up golf.

My experience;

  1. J/111
  2. J/88
  3. J/99
  4. J/92
  5. J/121
  6. J/105
  7. J/109
  8. J/122

(not counting J/80 + J/70)

I guess the J/90 and J/125 would top the list?

I wore foul weather pants on deck the entire Transpac in 19’ on a 125. When they get moving they are a wet boat.

@Blur somewhat a tiny little bit on topic, I see in your videos that you have opening ports in the cockpit, is that standard on a Euro boat or did you add those?

It's an option from the yard; "4 Additional opening ports in aft face of coachroof and cockpit". Perfect to shove halyards into, until a big wave comes or someone releases a halyard without taking it out first.

Oh. My boat has the ones at the "aft face of coachroof" but not the ones in the cockpit. I going to add those!  Thanks!
