hobie trippin 0
Hey sailors! I have recently qualified for J/70 nationals in Tampa, and was wondering if anyone knew of any good sources for the very technical aspects of these boats? I’m not too familiar with J/70’s, however I regularly sail on an Antrim 27 and own a Hobie 33. I’ve been attending North sail’s webinars, and wanted to take a deeper dive on the technicalities of the rig and sail trim in different conditions. Thank you much! Raked Aft\\ 121
Hobie, check out the debriefs from previous Davis Isle regattas hosted by sail 22. Great stuff on all sorts of J70 go fast topics. here's the YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=sail22
WCB 775
I'm confused how one qualifies for nationals when you don't know the boat. Does that mean to qualify you only had to register and pay? Go to North Sails' website and find the tuning guide. They can be very helpful including crew management, setup...etc. I did that for the Melges 24 and have the North, Quantum, and Ullman guides saved.
