If you’re trimming your stocks like they’re trimming their sails...

This is another great example of crappy maritime "art" in advertising. At least it's not done on behalf of a sailing organization though.

After this can you trust anything the Murdochs put out?

Funnily enough Rupert Murdoch had yachts in the past - did Sydney Hobart races, as did his son Lachlan. Maybe they didn't trim properly?

If they haven't done it for awhile, it might explain a few things. Seems like they're missing the reality check of a salt water fire hosing.

Where are they finding the artist for this crap?

Agreed, but also consider how many levels of marketing and corporate approval that also had to scrutinise......

Beggars belief. YCMTSU!

Just need World Sailing to require License payment prior to publication for use of IP, and we'll have the full cluster fuck........

Perhaps a call to the poor author Jason Zweig may shed some light on this artistic oopsie?

He was probably saddled with it in post production, and was the hapless victim.

Or perhaps he's never seen any sailable body of water, or is an AI construct?

At least they have the flag at the mast head in the right direction. And given they are damn near by the lee, if you were holding the head of the main, the leach may actually lift in such a way. Ever play with windsurfing? do Freestyle? Using the leach of your sail can be useful.

You guys should stop kissing the Ed's Butt.
