It’s my understanding that black braid on braid is more UV resistant than white.

Is the same true of 12 strand dyneema? Will black hold up better in the sun than white (or gray or red or blue)

When DSM introduced their black dyneema filaments they said it had no effect on the technical properties and specifically said no effect on UV resistance.

dYNEEMA does not care of UV, no matter which color.

If I understand your english, this is not true.  UV does in fact degrade dyneema.  Not as quickly as some other fibers, for instance vectran is much more sensitive to UV.  But you can expect a ballpark 30-50%(ish) strength loss in dyneema from UV effect over several years.

Google dyneema “geothane “

this is coating  to protect ropes like dyneema  from UV

it’s normally applied by the manufacturer

I havd been supplied geothane  by riggers in cans to protecting strops

its water thin

had red dyneema turn pink after being out in the texas sun after awhile

Isn‘t that just because dyneema is white, then colored and that‘s what is getting sun bleached?

Whereas UV as I understand it becomes visible through the rope getting really fuzzy.
