Looking to buy a Sportboat in San Diego or East coast

Recommended Posts

We are a sailing school and we are in the market for a nice budget racer. Ill be in San Diego in the next few days so if there is anything on the market there I would love to see it while there. If not something in the East coast would be better.

Something along the lines of a Flying Tiger. Requirements are trailable with a retractable keel. Capable of doing something like Transpac.

i believe FT's have won transpac  line honors  more than any other boat.

I heard an FT-10M won so many Transpac Barr-Doors they actually built a barn out of them

Sydney - Hobart only line honors less than a dozen times cuz they haven't been around that long

Much of this topic as already been covered here

Summary:

1. Bob Perry did not design the FT 10 for the Transpac.

2. The Chinese did not manufacture the FT 10 for the Transpac.

You're too late to order one but something that is trailer-able, with a retracting keel, and able to do Transpac was this.
