keeping this thread alive.   15+ years of debauchery.

Happy Holidays everyone.  Just another semi-annual check in.  I sold my Dana 24 and bought a Valiant 40 in Mexico.    Bashing back up Baja soon, I hope!

I guess this is the annual thread bump.   Happy Holidays everyone!

I cannot find this video of the Mac attached to the rudder.

I thought all Mac's were attached to rudders, but I guess you can steer them with 200hp outboards as well. Anyways, here is the video that James referred to...

Mac Dragging the Mark

Hold up....you mean they are RACING a Mac....as a SAILboat????? jk

KD - You the man - that shit brings back fond memories and sets up keen anticipation!

The last REAL 26 foot sailboat MacGregor made was the 26C I believe. It was patterned after the Venture 21.

Props to Keeldragger and her crew... On the strength and humor of these videos my brother and I decided to add Peoria to an Midwest/East Coast road trip just to see if these guys would take us sailing... I'd done several years of small boat lake sailing and the videos took me back to those great times. I contacted the Keeldragger's captain and said "Hey you don't know me from Adam...I could be a serial killer... but how bout a ride?" Not only did these guys take us sailing, they invited us to race with them and we spend the night before seeing the sights of beautiful Peoria (Boy, the sights you can see in Peoria for a dollar!) Long story short, these are great guys with a wonderful sense of humor who understand the great fun that can be had with small boats, a good breeze, and lots of beer...

Glad you guys enjoyed the trip. W/regard to the sights in Peoria, there are many unwed teenage mothers able to continue their community college education as a result of your contributions. Thanks for supporting the community.

I was in SF for a conference, but no time to get out and screw around. I'm hoping for a return visit soon.

You missed Vallejo?

Crap!

You gotta stay in touch.... Your posts are some of the most entertinining, not to mention real... For the majority of us, having as much fun as you appears to is a worthy goal...........

You'll just need to strap your hat on out here..... It blows a little harder. More opportunity for entertaining videos---

Possibly another trip in late July....

Here is a link to the YRA Master calander. It lists anything related to racing going on in the Bay area and beyond........

Check the July dates you will be here and list what you might be able do. Beercans happen on several weekday evenings in various spots around the Bay. We sail out of RYC and do their Beercans so if your schedule permits come and join us. Your Hat and Video Camera are also welcome. You can start posting videos of the "KD Grand Tour"

I would bet there are a few other Bay Area Anarchists that would enjoy meeting you and swapping tall tales.

His site has been down for a while. Bullshit. Keeldragger, for the sake of millions, get Keeldragger back on line. I know it's a pain in the ass to maintain a website, mine has certainly suffered the last six months or so, but it's still a worthwhile endeavor.

Can't find the video, but here's the blog:

"We had a full crew plus one for the race. Richard Milczarek, special guest crew from Poland and also the MasterT's brother, was able to join us. He doesn't speak a lot of English, but I know how to say beer in Polish (Piva) so we had no problems communicating."

I'm pretty sure he sold the Tartan 27. Not sure what it was replaced with, if anything. :(

Yeah, he sold the Tartan. He had a Star after that, I think. IIRC, he was talking about relocating the last time he was around here.

Where to?

KD, please tell us when a new video arrives, maybe you can take the european off the boat as the pirates just to do.

I'm about out of material until Spring. Here's a new (old) one... probaby the first video I made.

Keeldragger--the early days

What does it cost a man to get a keeldragger shirt autographed by Tomasso?

We're gonna order the 2006 season shirts in a couple of weeks. I can hook you up if you want one... probably about $15.

Surprised this stuff is still on the web. This translation technology is amazing!

Translation seems to work for the SailingAnarchy home page, too... but it's hard to tell if anything changed:

Here's the current link to the "Fucking Teamwork Video"--I don't know if the others work.

I hope the rest of you assholes are stirring up trouble while Keeldragger is on terra firma.

How do I get a shirt? Awesome vid.

The video requested in the front page (?) bit is also classic. "I've got nothing!"

Two of my favorite videos are this one and the "Sail the Cloth" video. I briefly rehosted the "Sail the Cloth" video after the original poster took it down... then a number of people attributed it to me, but I had no involvement in those shenanigans.

The captain on Ham-It-Up passed away a couple of years ago. I hope people still enjoy my documented debauchery after I'm gone.
