I bought a similar boat to an i550 last year and it has a spare double spreader carbon rig (23’ P )  as well as a Carbon/Aluminum smaller double spreader mast (20’ P)

Both rigs have all the standing rigging plus some spares.

The tall rig has a North Black Carbon mainsail from a Melges 20, Carbon weave jib and a pretty new Mylar jib.

Would like to sell as a package but can sell separately.

Oh Pooh-bah, perhaps knowing they are as am I that i550 boats are very breaking easy to me. The keel is so small and light I can carry easily to the boss man but only receive a small roti it for.

I am searching for a source of sustainably harvested plywood made to the BS 1088 specification. Also if anyone has experience with the bio-derived epoxy offerings, let me know your experience.  T

Is it broken still, or broken no more, yet, Sahib? Fix things I can not but my cutting torches and dremel stand ready.

Also I'm curious if someone tried to make a canting keel on i550, you know like on mini proto?

I'm in no way shape or form going to try it, just curious.

The boat is pretty wide for it's length, with a lot of form stability.

The keel weight doesn't really come into plat until you're at ~45degrees, and that's when the side panel catches it from going further.

I'd say it's the wrong design for a canting keel.

It's probably better to stick with your current 'interests'.

Just a "Straw Poll" about how much interest there may be about partial builds of an i550 hull, keel with bulb and rudder. The purpose is to encourage clubs, youth programs and those without tools, space and time to get involved with sailing at a lower price point.
