I have a 1971 Bristol 34' and need to drop the rudder, anyone have any experience with this?
I assume I need to grind away at the bottom of the skeg or bottom of the rudder to expose a pin of some sort that hold the bottom rudder pin in place. thanks for your help.

I am not happy about this. I was talking this up for the past week or so and pretty much had a plan put together. We were going to put 2 crews together, combine this with Annapolis Nood on the way home and each get a chance to drive a regatta. Looks like I'm back to square one on that idea.

The Euros won't come unless they bring their own boats because there aren't going to be many good boats available for charter. Not if everyone can all sail the event.
