i forgot to add in one small detail..... the purchase is "inside' the boom.

it doesn't have to. the sheet should be spiced such that the sheet to bridle splice is right at the turning blocks when under max tension. Not to trick to get right, as you can splice the bridle to the boat (or tie it) after the sheet to bridle splice is in place.

A self centering bridle for the aft sail makes a bunch of sense. Would self center when wanted for a riding sail, etc
