    It’s not a matter of staying ahead of any developments, but avoiding that the class is being changed into something totally different from what it is today - that’s the goal for the technical committee. So fully foiling could be outside the scope and therefor they find ways to refine the rules...

    Classes do die, but if foiling is the future then other classes wil take over and sailing will still be fun. Just because the a-cat is pretty cool right now for a group of grumpy old men, the class doesnt need to chase every new development. Its a very good job the technical commitee is doing...

    interesting stuff out of the Netherlands - http://www.dnacat.bl...3-update_5.html - less curve than the mayfly, so that might solve the problems of the mayfly going sideways. How does the sailor control the height of the boat? Hopefully they can do some boards that works straight out of the box...
