I'm not sure when Phaedo was constructed, but according to this article, the first 5 mod70s were sold for $3.5 Million which was actually below cost, boats 6-9 sold for $4.25 Million and subsequent boats for $5 Million. None of those are less than half of the $4 Million figure I cited...

A 4 million dollar boat is from the bargain bin? I don't know, its just my opinion but I find both types of boats to be impressive in their own ways and I enjoy both the by monohulls and the super fast multis. I don't find it to be a shortcoming when an high tech high dollar monohull gets outrun...

Is this a surprise or something? I'm certainly no sailing expert, but the fact that the mod 70s are faster than ANY monohull does not really seem all that newsworthy to me. Am I missing something??
