I had a similar question regarding my boat on this thread

Lots of good stuff in this one, thanks!
Ah, I see. I didn't think about where the draft came from!
I just repainted the bottom so it better be in good condition! And the interior of the boat wasn't bad. The PO were the archetypal cruisers who don't really sail much (and with a 120 gallon of fuel it's easy not to)
I'll look into...
This is pretty good advice, thanks.
The sails are really bad though - the main is undersized by at least 6 foot on the hoist and 9" on the foot (and is a slugged foot) while the genoa is similarly undersized. The PO only sailed when they were crossing oceans in the trade winds, the rest of the...
I have a two blader on right now that rotates to hide behind the skeg under sail (at least that's what the PO told me - I've never actually checked). A folding prop may be in my future
Yup, still a cutter rig. The staysail is a hank on though right now but that's not a huge issue

So my old boat was an old 1980 hunter 36. Loved it, could sail in 2 knots of wind on flat water. Got stuck in Mexico during covid and had to sell it eventually.
My new boat is a Rafiki 37 https://sailboatdata.com/sailboat/rafiki-37. It displaces twice as much as the old hunter (26500lb vs...

From a comment on team pocket rockets insta
'Well. It was great to meet team pocket rocket. Sorry it wasn't under better circumstances for you guys. That being said it was a fun recovery to help you with. Glad we got you upright. For those wondering the boat ended up being compromised by the...
Lowest tides for 12 years tomorrow or something like that, it can get nasty in the JdF even without once in a decade tides.
My friend in swiftsure saw 10 foot standing waves near the point at swiftsure bank this year, conditions were 30 g40
Sure there is 1000s of years of maritime tradition, the entire concept of GMDSS as well as basic human decency, but on the other hand have you considered the fraction of a fraction of a cent that it'd cost Robalex117's tax dollars?
Lets start restricting the GFS to Americans Only as well while...
So has anyone actually heard of a boat fire caused by a LifePO4 bank? Most of the ones posted have been different chemistries. A lead acid battery will also catch fire at 500c, after exploding.
The worst that will happen if you overcharge your cells is that you will totally ruin them and be out...
