    Hah, my view too

Imagine if it had been LR that had crashed and asked for pizza and the kiwis brought out pizza with pineapple. Could have been ugly. (though I now realise why AM asked for pizza not MacDs - imagine getting beetroot on them) I heard that Ben had a team of hackers break into LRs control systems...

And I have no problem with that - I did say in response to one of Strider's posts that I didn't think they were unsportsmanlike. But i do think having teams losing a race because of a technical, non-performance issue that that the measurers miss would be bad for the sport and event, whichever...

Even if there is a change in the wind direction, the ROW boat cannot change direction if doing so would not give the opposition opportunity to keep clear. Contrast that with one of the upwind port-stbds where after LR decided to duck, GB bore off a tad. They were allowed to do that because LR...

Italian may be the language of cooking (I will leave that to you and the French to argue) but Engish is the language of poetry. And sailing -even LR speak it, and they aren't alone. ETA Which is my way of saying "its not my fault we will beat you in Prada Cup ;)  "

And if we win, you can come to my home and cook ;)

I'm not blaming LR, just pointing out that what Zaal posted was untrue

But after it was measured, GB didn't change anything

I wouldn't say unsportsmanship (not least because  the English language has unsportsmanlike but not unsportsmanship for some reason). Its more the very legalistic attitude. Such an attitude is always going to make enemies. Its been the case off the water  and even on the water they seem very...

It was the race committee who told everyone it wasn't performance related. No vitriol would come from me. Might do if it were LR though given there attitude to date!

very pedantic, but whether it is the Italians trying to find a second yellow or GB protecting themselves from another yellow we can only guess at

You miss the point. I am not knocking him in the slightest. Just highlighting a little hypocrisy from some in here in the comments made about people depending on which team they are in

I'm sure that AM could have said that Deano was visible to those that matter. Didn't stop him getting abuse for not being a good leader. And I made no comment on his helming ability. Nor for that matter did I doubt his leadership. Merely that the same behaviour for ETNZ gets lauded, but for...

Of course with the lack of visibility he has, if he were skipper of anyone other than NZ he would have had loads of abuse for not being a great leader by now

Judging by comments and videos on this forum, there hasn't been much sign of LR this last week. Given the measurement date that seems surprising You'd think they would want to test any changes to foils or sails before they commit to them. So do we take it that their major upgrades are systems...

Very interesting that bit. Shame there is no data on defender to do the same

Don't need much height. You need length. There is less height in the GB foils, and they fit actuators either side.

Not really, that bulb is pretty long.

Well they really are scraping the barrel if so. I could have bloody well answered that one

I think LR has flexible handles off the leach like AM did because even though the helms don't swap sides  the main trmmer does. Whereas GB has a solid post at the back of the boom. Minor point but it looked to me like GB's solution allows the crew a lot more speed and confidence swinging round...
