    A lovely composition.  But it is remarkable, for it is unusual in paintings for the subject(s) to give the artist the stink eye.  Photographs yes, but in paintings, rare.    So imagine the poor artist, perched on the wildly tossing bow with his pallet and lap easel trying to capture the moment...
