Here's a link to our sailing waters, you can see what's up as we approach the time. http://184.69.15.174:81/waterfront.jpg
Looks pretty good right now but it's only 7°C...it's a sunny but cool week in the forecast.
Or Vancouver to Vancouver Island. Depends where you want to start, and when you want to arrive. The Port Angeles ferry ride is pretty boring, the other two routes take you through the San Juan Islands or the Gulf Islands...
Well, I guess you may have mistaken my other posting for cold and snow. Now that I look at it, it does have some resemblance.
We'll hope for the best. I don't think we have ever invited someone out and had to cancel because of weather.
Of course, we have ended up sailing in some pretty...
I actually volunteered to take Ad sailing in post #5 in the SA thread, days and days ago. For some reason he wasn't entranced by the idea. This was the middle of January, it can be nice in winter.
In Seattle, the Chihuly exhibit is incredible if you like glass. http://www.chihulygardenandglass.com/
We were blown away. Go mid-afternoon so you can see it at night too.
Butchart Gardens in winter is fabulous. Close to Christmas there are musicians, skating rinks, and all sorts of things going on. With the early dark, the Millions of lights show up really well, and if there's snow it's even better. If there's no snow, it's still good.
