Hi, new to the 22 class and was wondering if there are different schools in terms of keel shape? I'm very experienced in the 24 class but is it like the 24 class where you want certain shapes and location?
thanks
Thanks! the blistering stopped "Thankfully" at the interprotect. The previous owner didn't know that vc epoxy doesn't like to be in the water for 5 months at a time...
Anyone can help me out to know if early builds of J24 from US Watercraft have had blistering issues. Looking at a boat that has a vc epoxy bottom that was always well maintained and the owner put her in fresh water for a few months a year for a few years in a row during summer months and now...

Helping a friend out and he wants to remove the thin coat of white vivid antifouling. Underneath is VC Epoxy. The vivid was rolled on improperly by the previous owner and my buddy just wants to bring it down to the VC Epoxy. Any tips? The boat has been stored on a trailer for a couple of...
Picking up a new to me Star and I need to bring my spare mast with me as I'm picking it up before a regatta. I need to do about 300 miles with the mast. Using a ford explorer. I'm going to make brackets for the front of the truck but not sure if the tip of the mast is going to fold under all...
I'm buying a Star that has a Delta trailer. To import it to Canada, i need to get the year it was manufactured on letter head... don't ask.. Customs is a bitch. So i'm hoping that Delta is still in business. Any leads would be great.
thanks
Any lead will help. thanks
Hi, new to the Star class. I'm putting the mast together (boat came with two masts and I want to learn on the older mast). It's a spartech mast and I'm not sure about the sequence of shrouds at the spreader tip. Is it from screw to mast: upper, intermediate and the lower section of the upper...
"there is a respected custom boat builder that started doing repairs and installing wheel steering in tiller boats back in the 70"s.......repairs lead to contacts that will grow with you......good luck to you.......ignore the 'tards like Basketcase that live in a land of hate and anonymity...
Now u r talking. I maybe should have been more clear. It is mostly sail repair, canvas work etc. i assumed a sail loft included repairs and such. I totally agree with you on what you are saying. We have over 2500 sailboats + a crazy amount of dinghies + a crazy amount of power boaters in our...
Just curious to know if there is a certain amount of sailboat "density" or "boats per sq/miles" that a sail loft needs to be somewhat successful. I'd love to hear successful and unsuccessful loft startup stories.
