Norm is down our neck of the woods at the moment, wouldn't exactly call this sailing, but he has a sail..
Nice bloke, here he does a piece on another motorboat that lives down here.
Norm is an acquired taste, but many of his videos are useful if you sail into ports up and down the Oz east coast.
The good news for vloggers who commission new boats is that even more things don’t work or break down than in old boats, and the systems are so complex they often can’t fix them.
Harbours Unknown is a great example, a new Seawind a couple of years ago and they are still fixing things in exotic...
European exploration and colonisation makes sense if you look at the economic drivers, be they spices, tobacco cotton or wool..
The British frenzy of colonisation was driven by the fact that they were the first country to experience an Industrial Revolution, and wanted access to more resources...

It’s raw water...
I have had a few wooden gifts confiscated by US customs when I mailed them from Tasmania to the USA.
Clearly they know nothing about the anti microbial properties of Huon Pine …
I have a raw water cooled 2003 with 1600 hrs on it, and a supply of spares from friends who re engined their boats.
But if it goes bad I have a spare low hour VP 2030 in the shed, no way I would rebuild the 2003.
My issue is it is a saildrive motor, so I am locked into the VP vortex unless I...
