Well it looks like the tide has not gone completely red in NSW as the ALP are 2 short of majority government atm with only 2 seats in the Ahead column, with one of those, Ryde, on a razor thin 2PP preference margin of less than 100 votes. On the other side the Libs are ahead in 3 seats but the...
Interesting piece on ABC this morning via The Conversation's Frank Borgiono about the issue I raised on Saturday night re all State and Territory Government's, sans Tassie, same as Federal

It is, but Meli doesn't seem to think so. She seems to think the ALP is the party of stability and reason.
Meli if you were 20 something and didn't have the experience of someone who has experienced the variable cycles in Federal and State politics I'd give you a pass, but you're not...
And Northern Sydney with 2 or 3 Independents ahead or winning after long-standing Lib members retiring. Obviously the NSW Libs didn't learn much from the Federal election last year.
Oh well, there you have it Meli, a red wave across the country. As I said last night I think that's a bit...
I disagree. There needs to be an alternative voice/viewpoint from the other side of politics at National Cabinet, or whatever they call it these days. Group Labor think is dangerous for the country imo, as is group Liberal think.
I hear there's an election in NSW tomorrow. Does anyone care? Obviously not coz there's been no comment here this week that I can see.
Auntie says it's going to be close. I haven't been paying any attention to it. Any thoughts?
Yes. She said "It's not funny, it's undignified". I said I didn't say it was funny, you did.
She also then said " thought you said it was posted for our entertainment." Wrong again I said it was for LB's entertainment. Anyway, play on
With office comes responsibility and there needs to be consequences for someone of that office who abuses that office. That's what SHOULD happen, not saying it will 🙁
I think she should be charged with Contempt of the Senate, or something like that, because that type of behaviour by a Senator should be treated with contempt.
Hey @LB 15 I see your favorite Senator attended an anti-trans rally near Parliament House and got tackled to the ground by Federal Police before crawling away to join a pro-trans counter rally. Seems Senator Hanson & Senator Roberts were on the anti-trans side. Some video footage of the incident...
And here's the rest, which will apparently be a new chapter to the Constitution called "Recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples"
In recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia:
There shall be a body, to be called the...
Don't know LB. Only had time this morning so far to read just the proposed question. Don't know why you might think they need to expand on the meaning, however there probably would be some expansion on the meaning somewhere
Well here it is
A Proposed Law: to alter the Constitution to recognise the First Peoples of Australia by establishing an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.
Do you approve this proposed alteration?
mmm...seems that the loan from the Swiss Central Banks has had it's desired effect...Credit Suisse shares up 30% this morning in Europe. Was probably a good buying day here in Oz today, should be a good bounce tomorrow here and in Asia.
Interesting that none of the Americans here today have mentioned what's spooked our equities market today, and I presume Asian markets too. And no doubt European market futures are down a bit atm too. Just Google Credit Suisse. It's not all about the good ole USA you know 😜...
Episode 2 explored the Russian hijack theory, which was categorically reputed by many.
Episode 3 is called The Intercept. I haven't looked upthread what that theory was about.
