This guy settled in Killcare an hour north of Sydney Australia. He built a beautiful home overlooking Hardys Bay.

Funny thing is.... she has the scale of a bigger boat but 40 foot is what she is. I swore she was longer.  Very liveable though they did say the shower was on deck :)

Actually I didn’t check as I’m pretty certain she is.  I tried to google that when I got home but nothing on the www.  Id bet my house though.

Spring in full swing down under. Wooden boat festival in Pittwater. My favourite boat by far is Lucy. Built by a couple from the ground up to a Ed Burnett design with a nod to Harrison Butler lines. She is ‘proper skookum’ and everything about her build and fit out is perfection to my senses. 

You just HAD to say the M word.  I suppose they could be ‘useful’ ... as landfill 

Does the trick for Jimmy and is probably very handy. Some homes are like that. I’m struggling with ‘cool’ though but I’d settle for ‘useful ‘

Im going to try and catch them in the morning. The forestay and inner forestay have hard protective sheaths so I think they may run some sort of hanks with an ability to still furl. 

Trailer questions aside, I was marina strolling today and saw this unmistakably kiwi built boat getting ready to leave the PNW.  My first thought is a Woollacott but will defer to anyone who knows. A few interesting details like the aramid standing rigging and code 0 (?) furlers on cutter rig...

Wow. This great news. I look forward to seeing her out on Pittwater. Smart phones are a boon to getting shots of cool boats.
