I didn't see the underwing / bridgedeck clearance mentioned anywhere (weird?), but I did find an extra spec sheet on their website, see below.
But what I will say is that if a buyer can get past not having a 'brand new' boat, then a second hand Atlantic 55 or similar plus the cost of a refit...
^ thanks for taking a stab at some calculations :)
I'll look forward to reading it again in more detail when I have more time later, perhaps after some others have reviewed and critiqued too.

To clarify, this is a follow up article based on the chart and press release that was previously posted by Marsaudon Composites with the addition of a couple interviews with skippers.
A point not translated above, but stated in the previous chart and press release, and stated again in this new...
A point to note - perhaps surprisingly given that a lot of focus regarding these boats has been that they foil and are very fast - is that they produce a devastating amount of dirty air from the mainsail.
Starts remain very important as even with a faster boat it's still difficult to get past...
Dazcat Ocean Cruiser Walkthrough 1 with the Designers
Trying to tick a lot of the boxes now that some of the other manufacturers are adding more volume to their performance designs?
With a '13 to 1 Waterline Beam to Length Ratio' I guess she will be pretty narrow, slippery, and low volume...
You are right, it is a gross over-generalisation - BUT if prospective buyers - especially the less experienced ones coming into the market these days - take that as a starting point hopefully their approach will be far more clear eyed and prudent.
The Leopard saga posted above is a good...
Really good post (y)
But then Zonker IS an industry professional and knows what he is talking about regarding these subjects - so no surprise that advice from an expert, is well, expert advice!
All normal stuff (or should be), but then as some of examples being posted show - actually not so...
I think the problem for Nick based on information that they have mentioned is that they probably feel Javelin would turn into a USD1m (and possibly plus) by the time it's redone - right - and given their thoughts about the state of the world they didn't want to allot that level of funds to a...
One thing is for sure, there is quite a range of disparity between what's classed as a cruising trimaran, from a 42' Newick Creative, Chris White Explorer, Juniper, Hammerhead, etc, Rapido, or even Neel...
As another data point, and a story that you may find interesting, is the saga of John...
Au Contraire.
Video link should start at 4min and show that the 2 vessels in this dock were indeed using props / braces, plus blocking along the keel - but no blocking to support the rest of the hull.
:)
Another timely video, even if most of us in this thread are probably aware of these various possible problems already.
It even discusses some of the same issues featured in the last posts, and again features Shane from YoungBarnacles.
SAVE YOUR MONEY! Problems to look for on a USED Catamaran
Yes, agreed - but some people (buyers) just don't seem to know about some of this basic but important stuff.
Yes agreed again, and you're right that it could be sorted out relatively quickly and be much better than it ever was.
Or some people like Shane are even more crazy and think 'hey...
This video was posted over in a different thread:
Warranty and Travel Update & Our CROSSBEAM Mounts Are Cracking...
Yes it's a South African boat builder! No... don't panic, it's not Balance... ;)
And apologies that it's not a performance cat either. But, maybe it is relevant in terms of some...
Yep, already downloaded...
(this is the tool I used if anyone needs it: https://en.savefrom.net/383/)
And yes, already watched the Outremer video when it came out. I was surprised that it provoked some negative reaction. I thought it was absolutely brilliant. Some people clearly have no sense...
Do I understand correctly that even after they found all these structural problems they still decided to sail the boat across the Atlantic?
Or am I confused?
Regardless, the boat looks like a POS construction wise, which might not be the first time that this has been suggested about Leopards...
Yes, agreed, terrible.
I'm all for comparisons and discussion, and especially with metrics and data - which is why I posted the video and tables for all of us to pick apart - but this is just a mess and will no doubt reflect very badly on Antares.
In fact the more one looks at all the provided...
Yeah, it's now clear that the table is a complete mess, which is a pity because the metrics and formulas side of things can be useful.
I threw up the links when I was busy with something else but after I started looking at the displacements noted in the table and even from memory began to think...
