Quitting smoking (almost) 1 year in.

My quit method this time around is a little bit different than the norm. I’ve been staring down every evil trigger possible the whole time. Just went through a bad break up with the girlfriend two days before quitting, had to ride out a whole weekend wondering if I still had a job because lay...

This’ll be my third “real” attempt. 8 and a half days done, no slip ups, and I’m pretty much no longer miserable. Well, I'll try a new, horribly expensive method. Just bought my first brand new car in fifteen years. It's never had a chance to be smoked in, and I intend to keep it that way. So my choices are quit or be grumpy on my commute. At least it's an astoundingly fun commuter, so I hope it keeps me...

As a career "quitter," Chantix has always been the easiest for me. Once you solve the lucid dream issue, it's pretty easy. My problem has always been staying quit.

Yes, you should have. I made it four months and folded again. Trying again soon. Edit: I don't remember what the proposed bet was, but I'll honor it out of penance, and if it even slightly helped your cause, it's worth it.
