Sorry, but no.... Might be different in your state, but no way in hell would you use the 500k ish valuation assessed by the county, on my house. Bank will get an independent appraisal... last one was 600K about 10 ish yrs ago. We live in Denver. So ya. 600 is about 500k low... LOL
No it is not. At least not here. Any loan has an independent appraisal. Good god, if I could only borrow against the county assessed price, that would be bad... It is a game, he played with 100ds of millions.. if not more... Not a 500k house.
Used to do mortgages... This is 100% true... " Hey (Personal company appraiser guy) i need 400k, last one was 300, can ya get it??" 99% of the time he would be within about 10 K.. And that was residential.. Can't imagine what corp/big time stuff is like....
