It's still NZs cup though.
Ideally it would've been good to sail 37 in NZ, but the economics weren't there. If we defend, hoping 38 will be back in NZ.
Settle down, we haven't called for it to be abolished. Yes some of us have issues with its contrived nature - and the way Wussell does things. Being critical of it and suggesting improvements is not a bad thing.
I don't think that was Botin's fault. The sail and rig designers failed to produce a "power plant" that could work in the lower ranges. That was ETNZ's big plus, that they could get the boat with the smallest foils to still work in the light stuff.
Ernesto - "you need more engineers than sailors"
It's easy to identify and buy good sailors. Much trickier to identify the innovative engineers with whom one needs to buy.......and all the good foiling designers have been locked in by the other teams......
Go fuck yourself a thousand times...
As it stands now, this is the best LR have ever done in the AC. Plenty to be proud of, and yes PB would have to be one of the better billionaires getting around - not that I know any personally........
That would be great.....a bigger event with these boats would be quite the spectacle. Race 9 has really shown how match racing can be when you get a bit more breeze on a shifty course.
