Current does rip through there. What if they drift into the exclusion zone? Too deep to anchor there from my memory.

AIS has all the other fishing boats.  Live tracker doesn't seem to be updating too fast for me, but it is pretty quick.

How far out will AIS pick them up? Anyone have a link to the boats?

Driver? Different angle and thus polars (though look similar). It does seem like a lot. Surprising.

Now that the first two are in under the previous record, how would those with better weather knowledge rate their run? Did they get ideal weather? Could they get a better weather and really beat the record again?

Doesn't he have to choose between righting moment and leeway on port tack? That might be a bigger reason.

How long until he can get a normal sleep cycle?

I was just wondering about their sail inventory, do any of these guys carry kites? Seems that they could keep the wind forward enough that the J0's and blast reachers would be enough (considering they are solo).

Might it seem a bit odd as they are arriving in winter? In past editions, and much of the rest of the fleet, they will arrive a fair bit later in the year.

Back to AT's engine, does he have another mechanism for generating power? If there is salt water getting in there, bad things could happen.
