I think most of the 60's came with centreboards that where hydraulic, a lot now have been modified to use daggerboards, that would explain some of the cost, since they would have to cut a hole in the deck and put in a case in the boat for the centreboard and get rid of the hydraulic stuffs, but...

On the Ultim's didn't they reduce the height of the mast because they were running with a reef most the time anyway and thought screw it we don't need the extra windage? Didn't he bust the bowsprit and decided not to replace it because he wasn't using that much sail area? I think he was...

Was looking at GB's Instagram and saw teh GB60 Moonwave is for sale, was interesting looking at the accompanying pdf file to see how much they have spent over the years... I assume the custom container follows it around the world? The 60's don't look to have that much storage...
