These are all awesome suggestions, keep in mind were targeting a budget solution for 12 boats. The closer the replacement gets to ~100 per pair the more feasible the solution.

We were thinking something like this so not too far off. Should cost ~$110 or so a boat which is cheaper than can be done with the new teak or ~$300 for Waterline Systems stainless rails.
Hi SA J-boat community. I am trying to gain some insight into repairing and/or replacing both hand- and toe-rails on a fleet of J/22s (12 boats) that live at a community sailing center where they are ridden hard and put away wet. Currently, there are some safety concerns with these items and I...

I read the below excerpt from a web archive search of the Waterline Systems website. Does anyone have these in-warer test results available from the magazine or similar publication? I wish there were some open-acess journal for such sailing knowledge (it's quite possible there is), rather than...

Looking to fill out some bits and pieces of our team. Last season we were new to the boat and each other. Ended the season in first of new boats/teams and fifth out of twelve within striking distance of third and fourth place teams with several bullets over the season. We know we have what it...
A few buddies and I stupidly passed on a mostly sorted 49er (old rig) in the mid-Atlantic for cheap, apparently, a bunch of high schoolers got it before we could make up our minds.
Does anyone know if there are any non-piecemeal 49ers that may need a bit of TLC in the mid-Atlantic?
Is anyone aware of the year and hull number where the builders switched from using teak to stainless/composite?
Were there any additional optimizations made to later hulls?
Thanks,
CH
Seemingly everything needed is there, it's the old rig w/ old sliding wings but sails seem to be in good order minus a small bit of wear on the main where the upper ram vang attaches. Some of the running rigging looks tired but we're happy to replace with new dynema as needed.
Just want...
